Default More Problems... Update

Car cranks and wants to idle if we hold it around 1k rpms.. and then slowly let it down. If we just crank it it'll idle for a second then immediately die. Took it down the road twice and it'll miss at low rpms.. then clear up once we give it some gas. However if we let it come back down to idle it'll surge once or twice and then die.
Car is also hard to start at times, and will onyl start if given some throttle.
IAC has been replaced.. coolant temp sensor has been replaced.. and the vacuum leaks have been fixed. Hole has been drilled in the TB decently large.. and the idle screw has been adjusted to let more air in.

Any help is once again appreciated.

UPDATE. Cam immediately dies upon start up.. it will stay crunk for half a second.. cam will hit three times and then it will die.

Only way car will idle is with the idle position screw turned all the way in.. letting lots of air in.. and then when it idles it will surge horrible.. from 300-1200.. wanting to die everytime it falls. With the idle screw in stock position car cranks and immediately dies.

Try a crank position re-learn and/or cam position sensor. You'll need a TechII for crank relearn. Just a thought.....

I have no problems at all with you Craig! It sounds like the IAC count is way off even with the mail order tune, do you have access to a scanner that can show you IAC count?

No access to a scanner thus far . I called brother Josh to see if maybe we can get an autotap or hp tuners to borrow, he's going to find out for me tommorow hopefully. In the mean time are theree any sensors that could cause this??
I've tried unplugging the o2's, maf, resetting the pcm and what not. i drove it down the road just and it feels like it clears up when you give it the juice, which it feels like its got a good bit of at that. lol this damn car has been a nightmare. never had half this many problems with a vehicle, but at least now we got it back together just fixing the bugs is the hard part

Thanks
Craig

How can ANYONE do a mail order tune w/o sending the tuner a scan (A-Tap, HP Tuners, whatever) of whats happening with the motor? Been down that road, bad idea IMHO. Get a recording of a 15 + min. drive doing everything that represents your driving and send that data to the tuner. Should be a hell of a lot more accurate I'd think.

Happy Motorin' !

Not sure.. he told us to just send him the PCm and he'd tune it and send it back.. Alan seems to know his **** tho.

Yea.. the car just cranks and immediately dies.. if we hold the throttle open to keep it idling it'll find idle after like 30 seconds.. and then after another 30 seconds it'll either surge horribly or die.

And about "crunk" sorry.. I've been listening to way too much LiL Jon , nukka.

What would also cause the low RPM miss?
