That really sucks. Our track blows too. They've never cut to a 1/8th based on wind but they try to find every reason they can to cancel racing. If they predict rain the day before they'll cancel racing, fail to notifiy anybody then to only have it be perfectly sunny the next day. Before to long they'll cancel racing because its mostly cloudy and cool, oh wait they already have. Sucks when tracks don't have any competition/motivation to keep a consistant race schedule.

I was there one time and they stopped racing because there was lightning in the area and the timing system was sensitive to it. They basically waited until 9pm to call it a completed event.

the only time that they did that to me was last year and they gave everyone that had already paid and run a raincheck....anyone who hadnt run got a refund..how they differentiated I dont know...

I don't even bother going to Commerce.. your only bound to be disappointed.. bad traction, bad attitudes, bad timeslips, bad track all together. I'd rather go to SDR instead.

I'd love to go to SDR. I have never been and I hear the track is awesome (at a lower elevation to boot to). Unfourtunately, I live in the Northeast corner of the state. Commerce is only 40 minutes from my driveway while SDR is 4 hours

The only time Commerce is worth a crap is when they have a NHRA points meet or the Southern Nationals..they they prep the hell out of it. The rest of the time it sucks big time... ..too bad becasue it could be a good place to run if it was run right.
