Looks good, Tim. You always do a great job on the TBs. You did a great job on NLs and mine!

Just finished epoxying it, clear coating it and put it on. Idles at like 1200 rpm's now so I'll have to tune for it to fix that hopefully. Getting ready to go take it for a test drive to see if it made any difference. Thanks Tim!!!

Hmmm... Bo do you know if the Truck TB will work? It appears that when you press the throttle to the floor the TB only opens up 3/4 of the way. I'm thinking if I swap out the TB arm that opens the blade from the original one off of my car it should fix it. Does this sound right? Also I'm using the electronics that came off of this TB, I'm assuming the IAC is the same, if not that could be the reason why it idles so high, more like 1500-1700rpms. Tim did you shave away any around the base of the blade??

Just read this thread...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...light=truck+tb

...it appears I need to swap the bellcrank and shaft. Kind of sucks because Tim already polished the one that was on it so it will have an unpolished bell crank.

Ok, problem fixed, swapped out the bellcrank and TB blade and it fixed all the problems. The TB blade that was in there originally had the hole drilled out larger, must have had it on my other car in the past and forgot thus it was causing it to idle too high.

If this is going on your 00 model you will have to swap the shafts out. No biggie on that though

yup, just swapped them and it fixed everything, nice SOTP difference, not huge but you can tell, also it feels a little more responsive. Thanks!

So do you still need some tuning, or did that fix that too?

No i need tuning still if that's cool with you, I'm throwing 4 codes, 2 (P0172) and 2 (P0175), after installing the lid and de-screening the MAF.

Yup, I'd like to get it dyno'ed sometime in the near future to get a baseline before I do too much more.

Sly, this is Tommy that gave the lid to Becky. Did it work alright?
