ricer parade is this a GA thing ? do you guys notice far more ricers (and by ricers and i am by no means generalizing imports) around gwinnett than anywhere else? i think a parade went by , at first i though someone had stepped on a cat or soemthing , and anyone in gwinnnett notice how damn many of them are on plesasnt hill road...oh well more fun for me!

Defiantly not a GA thing. You should come to B'ham for a day or two. Most of the ones around here have their little civics, removed the hub caps, painted one fender black & put a fart can on there & they automatically have a 12sec import. They are so gay. & wrost of all they are having a ricer convention this weekend in montgomery so there will be tons of those annoying bastards down there.
I'm pretty sure it's a nationwide plague. You see anywhere from little rural cities to ofcourse the big cities. I think it'll get bigger and bigger as these young generations are mostly into those imports and not muscle. Theres just not enough muscle cars being put out anymore. Honestly i could understand why they like how their cars look, maybe they got different taste, but how do the put on an exhaust that sounds like a weedwacker, and be proud of how there car sounds? i just don't get.

yes they are fade ! they're so much fun to mess with , i dont mean racing them , if i race i'b better like the car im racing , but teasing them and causing them to lose control is a freaking hobby

try savannah. ricer ville day in and day out. theres 4 colleges in the area, each of em with their share of ricers. and these are the complete POS ones that are early 90s civics and have nothing but gross (and i stress this) ugly chrome wheels from walmart and trashcans hangin out the bumper. thing is they run straight pipe into a fart can to make them obnoxiously loud so i doubt any of them are emission legal.
I saw a guy readin a car mag (performance somethin or other) and asked him wat hes drivin. a crx. i realized it was ricer material but carried on the conversation and asked "so what kinda work you done?" he goes "a turbo". of course cuz they all say that. i reply "great, you got longtubes?". "yepp". "thats awesome man, so did the 94 crx's come with that awesome rotary motor?" you already know wat his answer was im sure. why is it that you buy car mags and stare at parts for hours not even knowing how an internal combustion engine works to begin with. sorry ok just had to get some rice off my chest.

Sure there are lots of ricers around here... but there are a SELECT FEW around Pleasent Hill that are actually worth seeing. Yea, they spend lots of money to get 'em right, but try finding the 2 EVO's at BP taht are matching red and blue. Loud97Formula and gafirefool know this first hand. Doing about 130 down 985 going towards BP we all got passed insanely by these guys. Couldn't hardly seeing they were moving so fast. Of course, all you heard was turbo, but still. I even have a friend that has come to PNR twice i think, that has a 99 Eclipse that just dynoed 410 at the wheels. So I can't say bad things to all of them. And they do use that played out, but rather good, excuse of "Well what kind of gas mileage are YOU getting?". And yes, my extensive ricer knowledge is because I did hang with a few of them when I had my Grand Am.
If anyone has ever been to COlumbus, ga youi know that on the weekends it aint anythign but bing bing cars. I show up and everyone jumps on my car like they want to hear a 'REAL" car!!! I had one dude tell me that my car was a POS b/c it was a Chevy!! So I showed him what a POS it was!! I jus dont get these kids nowdays. Hell I am 21 years old and I know more about a 1st gen motor than I do anything EFI. I have been building 305,350,400,and a long list of big block motors since I started taking an intrest in cars! Most of these kids dont even know what year the first Camaro was produced!! I jsut aint gettin it!
