Default Gauging Interesting SC/NC

I'm gauging interest in sc/nc, on the thought of my starting a chapter of the club i helped start when i was living in So-Cal. I moved out here(again) in october of 05 and have not really seen the active type of group that i am used to... So I want to see what your reaction is in order to get a feel for area and best places for meetings, events and gatherings, etc... The club is EMD Motersports and we were involved in quite a few different asspects of this lifestyle... We regularly hold meetings/gatherings every two weeks, we participate in the steet legal drag races held at a local track once a month, we held a dyno day for a group rate and a local dyno shop once a quarter, we have a cruise(road race) once a month in summer and every two months otherwise... we have members of all ages and backgrounds. We have members into car shows, members into drag racing, auto x, road racing, and even drifting... Its a place where Euros and Honkeys Unite. No holds barred car club that specializes in European enginuity and American monsters. Sorry no rice allowed. Plus, we all know that rice tastes better BURNT! I just started putting up the new website for the so-cal chapter, so check it out its in my sig... Please let me know if you guys will be interested, I need to figure out the area i have to work with to see where would be the best place to hold gatherings and such... If you have any questions feel free to ask...

Oyea! Me and some friends went up there for that car show thing. I was surprised to see that it was only 1/8mile track instead of a quarter, but it was still fun.

And the closest 1/8th mile is in mooresville, never been there though. The closest 1/4 is over in Rockingham and its 2 hours away, but yea, let me know if you head up to f-body, i can meet you up there

so you dont like ricers, yet you appear to have a love for doing burnouts/donuts on public streets, as well as street racing, and on top of it your camaro has a big wing on it and stock wheels.....

and now your starting a "team"

wow, for someone who bashes ricers you sure are the pot calling the kettle black.

LOL Thats just wrong. I had one of those wings on my 94 teal Z28. Jay at F body motorsports knows te car well since his uncle has it now. Well to each his/her own.
About car clubs and such. We have get togthers about every 3 weeks here near Charlotte and I know the Mustang guys do alot around the area so try going to www.undergroundracing.com and see if you can find some people

I have black ZR1's now... And for the wing i just wanted something diff everyone in my area seemed to have the whale tail wing which i did like either, and as far as ricers go its just the import cars from the oriental nations that we exclude from our "group"... it will be a new chapter for an existing car club...

I haven't seen too much around here as far as clubs go except for ricers that have crappy cars. Just check the message boards and as the weather warms up you will see plenty of meets/gatherings going on along with dyno days and track days and some really nice people.

haha, i saw that car, Jay's uncle had it down here and he took it to lunch, asked us to stay behind him but he took off, figures. That wing is ok in my opinion, when i saw it on the teal car i kinda got used to it but i think it would be a pain in the *** to use the rear view mirror

Was the car in good shape still? I was very **** about the car on how it was cared for even with my airplane wing lol. I've had about 4 auto F-bodys but thats the only one I really enjoyed. Look me up when the weather starts to get a lil warmer. I'll be doing a head swap for bigger heads and a stronger clutch in about a month so it will be on the road more.

yea, it was still in great condition, very well taken care of, if Jay's uncle is anything like jay then the thing is pampered, which it sure looked like it was when i saw it. It ran really strong too so there really isnt anything to worry about i think. As for the winter thing Ill do that, i went ahead and sent ya a pm too
