100,000 @ 100mph

100,000 @ 100mph The Y2K NBM Z28 just passed a milestone!!! When I saw that it was going to go over the 100K mark I made sure it happened on the interstate...When the odometer turned over to 100,000 miles we were going 100 MPH.. 
.. stayed there till we got to 100,001...ya got to celebrate when you pass a milestone like that..this has been one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned..outside of normal maintaince the only problem was replacing the clutch at 77K..I was actually surprised it lasted that long..this car is driven like a hot rod regularly but it has been maintined very well..It uses about a half a quart of oil every 4000 miles.. even the windows still go up and down fast..

Nope..I work on Saturdays..I'll probably be at the National Corvette Restoratrion Society Corvette Show in Orlando, Florida that weekend..I really don't care too much about drag racing anymore..my car is just a hot rod that hauls my fat *** around..I could care less about what it will do in the 1\4 mile..I learned a long time ago if your going to go racing build a "race car"..been there..done that..I have only taken the Z28 down the track on three or four different days in the last 3 years. It won't hook on street tires and I am not going to put sticky tires on it and break it.
Sweet Stevo,DONT sell that car,its paid for so if you want to do something else stick it in a corner and in a few years dust it off and put one of the many cheap *** LS7's or shop built 427's that will be available in the coming years........

I Replaced the white one with a black one..black one makes 5 more RWHP.. 
..as to the next generation Camaro being produced???...GM is saying they are waiting on the responce from the public to the car on the show car circut...if it happens it will be a couple of years for sure..FMC sold 210,000 mustangs last year and will sell at least that many this year..probably more..they are like ants..they are everywhere..I bet that GM would have liked to have had a car sell in that numbers this year with their financial troubles and all...keep in mind that GM has a history of showing up late to the party..when they finally do they usually have a good product..ie. mustang in 1964 and the Camaro in 1967..geeze they need to build that car!!..it looks bad *** and it will sell great as long as they don't price it out of the market..needs to be in the mid to high 20's to be competitive with the mustang..that was one reason the f body died before..was too expensive for that market segment..5-6 grand difference in price will make up somepones mind on a purchase..that equates to $100-$120 a month in payment difference..earth calling GM... if your are listening...BUILD THE PHUCHIN CAR!!!..it seems most of the time they have no clue at all..I would be happy to consult with them for a modest salery..I know I couldn't do any worse than they have been doing lately..

IMHO if you do not have good tires on your car it is not safe and any speed..I keep good ones on my ride at all time..got a stack of used ones in the garage..

Nothing wrong with this motor..it pulls strong to 6800 rpms..and like I said oil consumption is one half quart in 4000 miles..which is nothing..brand new Vettes use that much..I am on the fence on keeping the car..I may sell it like it is or take it back to stock and sell it..or keep it and make a total project car out of it...maybe it is the alignment of the planets or something..just the way I am feeling right now..

If the car is as it was supposed to be I'll probably buy it..gotta see it first..that is still a month away from happening..going to see what the Z28 will bring money wise..if the money is right it could leave tomorrow..aint no shortage of f bodys or vettes..
