Default Anyone looking for a 4L80e?

I purchased one from a junk yard in Hazelhurst, GA. McCarty auto or something like that. Anyways they had two, I bought one for $500 & the other is also $500 not sure of the mileage though. Just thought Id throw that out there in case anyone was looking for cheap one.

How much power will it handle without being built? How much does it cost to have it built to handle say 800rwhp? And are you selling one for $500? BTW z'mnypit, what size converter do you have? Your setup is what im working on doing to mine. Just curious

No im not selling it, theres a junk yard in GA. That had one more for $500. I know they were pretty hard to comeby in 2wd, so I thought Id post up if anyone is looking for one.

The new converter is a 3800 from fuddle, my old converter with the Rossler was a TCI SSF 3500.

Jerry, On the trans cooler lines, all you had to do was bend them correct? Well the trans I have they are at the same angle as the 4l60e but one line is about 9-10 in further back from the front one. Was yours like this? I was just curious. I think Im going to get a braided line kit & remove the stock lines.

i cut mine....added tranny rubber line and let it rip. Quicksilverado did this as well and it holds fine. I forgot what the psi is running thru the cooler but it is not a WHOLE lot if i remember correctly which explains why it holds. Just bend it to the angle you like and cut...then add rubber TRANNY line. Make sure to get the right size rubber line...forget the size but it is the next step smaller than the common size. I THINK it is 5/16"

Cool, thanks! Ive found braided lines on ebay for like $80 so I think I might do that instead. Ive never had any luck with hoses staying on the trans cooler lines. Ive had two pop off going down the road.
