T/A crash on 77 in NC
http://www.wcnc.com/news/topstories/....49ab3ce3.html

The Highway Patrol said the accidents occurred within a few miles from each other.
The first accident happened around 1 p.m. near exit 65 involved two cars. No one was hurt, but troopers said the traffic backup might have contributed to the second accident when Wesley Warden of Yadkinville was rear-ended by the driver of tractor trailer, Jerry Smith, of Matthews.
Warden was pinned in his car and rescue crews had to cut him out. He was flown to Carolinas Medical center for treatment.
Troopers charged Smith with failure to reduce speed.
It took state troopers and traffic crews about an hour and a half to clear both wrecks.
What a waste.

On a lighter note, now he knows how it feels to launch in a top fueler.

I thought the same thing. Just figured since it was being pushed into the car in front, it didn't have enough force to activate the sensor.
