Default To you all in the south!

Hey guys, I just went on vacation to alabama, georgia, and tennessee. I went to mainly visit family but did some running around. Okay first and formost you guys are some of the most polite people around. I thought being from california was going to make it hard on me. Wrong, it was cool and I plan on going back next year. Just wanted to say thanks to you all for welcoming an outsider because here in Cali many people are everyday dicks. I mean it was weird walking around and hearing a "hey there" and such. It's rare when people greet like that here. Also, as much as I love the terrain here I'll have to admit the countryside there is very nice. I was really not expecting things to be like they were, definitely a positive experience, so thanks again for that southern hospitality.

Glad you had a good time down here. People here usually are very polite. You should also check out the North Carolina Mountains sometime. Awesome people up there and the land is beautiful. I always take a trip to the SC beaches and my folks mountain house near Boone NC.

Thats something I still enjoy living down south after moving from Ohio. Most people are friendly and will usually say "hey". I work down here and fly up north to Redmond and Boston all the time. They rarely if ever say "hi" to a stranger passing by, and nothing funnier then to sey "hey" to someone up there. You get the strangest looks

Heck I've even had people say hey in traffic when just looking around stuck in traffic.

it must be different in the other states here in the south. around this part of fla, everyone acts like a dick. but i have some friends that moved down from the northeast and they have said the same thing. on top of bein friendlier, they think that everything is at an overall slower pace? did you notice that while in the "south"?

You wont find too many true Fla. born and breed. There are some but most are transplant from up north. Snowbirds.

good point, lol. there are a few of us fl. born and breed. the whole family on my dads side is from fla. and most of the people i hang out with are all from fla. you can always tell us true floridians though, cause we still have manners, carry the typical southern accent, and think that anything below 70 is cold. lol.
