I'd go with a sponsor of this site, especially one as good as VRD. ~Joshua

They quoted me almost double what I actually paid for my headers/cam install and I still paid too much.

Another vote for VRD.

I agree. They may be higher on some thing's, but also cheaper on other thing's. Customer service after the sale is a very important priority.LWA has been there for year's.You also get what you paid for.Cheaper is not alway's better.
VRD is a sponsor though, so I guess they are o.k.

LWA does top quality work weather there more expensive or not. There cars always run good and are dependable. Robs tuning abilitys are amazing he had retuned several cars from other shops. It all comes down to who you like better as people when a shop is concerned. Good luck to all shops

VRD...they are TOP NOTCH people...and they even give you a courtesy call to check and see how the car is doing AFTER they tune it ..after you get home..and home for me was 4 hr trip south of them...I went there because they were suppossedly the best..and I WAS NOT disappointed..and you won't be either...Best people, Best prices, quality, just damned good knowledgeable people who get the job done..

GET2IT, I have experience with both LWA & the boyz at VRD when they were at "another shop". That said, both are very familiar with the LSx motors and tuning them.

I believe Mike (VRD) is more knowledgeable w/tuning than Rob (LWA) use to be (2 years ago) but a lot can change in that amount of time. Word is Mike will not only dyno tune your motor but also do street driveability tuning too. Call them both and see who you're more comfortable with. IMHO, both will do the job just fine and make you happy. MAKE SURE you tell them what you're expecting!!

I agree they are top notch people also. But LWA has been around for 20 or more year's. Rob's experience with tuning is second to none. Look at it this way. Where else can you go and get your new LS based engine machine work done ,assembled, installed and tuned on a dyno, all in the same place, without having some of it subbed out. That is the main reason they are building my blower motor, because other performance shop's in the area was charging 10-15% more on top of the price for the machine work, because it was sent out.I'd rather save that money and apply it somewhere else.
But VRD is a sponsor, so I guess they are better.
