no i was on some pretty crappy street tires, i think if i had left at a little higher rpm and was able to stick i'd have been there, i was having a problem with wheel hop so i wasn't leaving any higher 2500. by next time i'll have 315's out back, lca's, lca relo. brackets, phb, and maybe a torque arm so hopefully i'll be a few tenths into the 12's. were you the one with the pewter Z, what'd you run?

Get that 60' down and you'll definitely be in the 12's. Not too shabby regardless. Were there a lot of cars?

not really, there were 6-8 ricers and a mustang runnin 14's and up, a z28, an ss runnin 12.0, and a few trailer cars. we need to set something up for the first week of the season in memphis, anyone know when it is. also, i only lost 5/1000's in the 1000ft going back to the 3:42's, but that 10.95 was at c-ville spinning all the way down the track. track prep down there was awesome, i only broke loose once and it was 1/3 of the way down the track doin 50

Well....I'm up in the air right now. Some days I love it, and some days I just want something different. I know that running dumped sounds so much better, but dayum is it loud inside the car. I would certainly switch to a Hooker or SLP, but it would have to be offered to me on the right day. So we'll see what happens.

As far as Memphis, I am down for sure. My car WILL be ready by then. Almost ordered Nittos today but decided to wait and make sure that is what I want to run. Tranny will be built and car will be fully tuned by then as well. And the best news is......I think I'm going to forego rebuilding Jeff's converter and just fork out for a new Yank SS3600......or SS4000 if my ***** are big enough . Then you suckers won't be dragging my butt all over the highway when we run . So as soon as Memphis opens, I say we get a bunch of people up there and have us some fun.

Absolutely ! Some hankock 245/50/16,s . There were several stangs including a black blown 02 that ran a couple of 11.7,s before he blew up. Couple of new stangs including a vert , both were manuals and both ran 13.9,s best time. There was a brand new candy gold GTO 6-speed that made several runs but I took care of him & then I left.

Yes, its kind of funny how the ford guys all clammer for their own little area and all stick together. After one of them gets blown away in front of the crowd they all huddle together & try to figure out which one of them might be able to run with the mighty LS-1 guns. And after a while they just refuse to line up against a Camaro or Firebird, cause they want to run against each other , only.Hell, even those two SS Trailblazers were running mid 13's at almost 110 MPH. Only one or two Stangs could hang with them. Out of the hole & heads up. Thats some great racing & the way it should be.

I always like seeing them telling the track officials not to show there time on the boards. I just never could understand that! I guess they just don't want anyone knowing how fast or slow they are.
