Looking for info: Moving to Georgia (Duluth area)
What kind of emissions testing does GA require? I searched the internet and it looks like it is required, but is a relatively new process? Is it OBDII plug in, sniffer, visual....? In other words, would my car (longtubes, big cam, no AIR, no EGR, no cats, dumps, but no SES light) be able to pass?
Can anybody recommend one bedroom apartments for $600-$750 in or around Duluth? Not sure we'll even be able to look before moving in...

I think most counties in GA do all of the tests you mentioned. If you do not have cats that is enough right there for you to fail, atleast where I live. The only county Im aware of that does not have strict emissions is Carrollton. Some of my buddies have their cars registered at relatives homes in that county so they can run no cats.

If you are a OBD2 (1996 and newer) car there is no sniffer..some counties do not have emissions to pass..most of the ones around Atlanta do..if your PCM has been edited and you have no SES light on you will pass..just plug it in and take the test.. the cars PCM tells the story to the emissions PC ..

Sounds good.
Just an OBDII plug in then??
I already passed a plug in diagnostic, thrice, in one of only three IN counties that does emissions testing...

The apartment thing is tough, not sure if we will get a chance to go down and look before moving in, and I KNOW you simply do not know whether or not it's the kind of place you want until you put your feet to the pavement and have a look for yourself...
