Default Will not take fuel

Anyone have this problem? 2nd time this has happened. 1st time I had to pour about 2 gal. of gas before gas tank would take fuel. This time It wont even take gas out of a can. Both times I let the tank get below 1/8 . SES came on and its a fuel vapor code. Thanks

should be code PO452, just dont let it get below an 1/8th tank, mine does that too and i have a clothes hanger in case it does. There is a ball in there that blocks the fill tube if you flip the car over... and if you have a leak in the evap system (gas cap etc..) it will close the fill tube to build pressure in the tank and you cant get gas in the car... i know its kinda dangerous but i just push the ball with a clothes hanger if it does happen but otherwise i just keep it above a quarter tank

hope that helps

it will be a nightmare trying to find out where your evap system leak is, i bought a gas cap and a purge canister tryin to do this and ended up just blowin out the code and not lettin the car run empty

Thanks Charlie. not alot of the folks know what Im talking about.Kinda hard to explain. That worked the first time (used a siphon sp. hose to push through the filler neck. this time no go. after a couple of hours if dropped out.
Gotta get this fixed.

I've never seen this before. I've ran my WS6 low a lot of times and this never occurred. If you delete this code from the PCM will it not perform this action again?

I think it's on top of the tank. I saw a huge canister on top of mine when I had the tank out puttiing in a bigger fuel pump.

the pressure sensor is exactly like a map sensor and its on top of the fuel tank too, delete the code and watch your fuel unless you wanna pull the tank IMO

Uh Charlie. We need to warn folks that that coat hanger trick will blow gas everywhere! Thanks for the tip. I let it get to 1/3 tank and it still did it. Now to wash the gas off my legs.lol

yes it will spew gas so i just do it before if i know its gonna happen, if you let the fill tube get gas in it thats when it spews but if your below a quarter just do it before you pump
