Huntsville ANyone heading out to the ORSCA race in Huntsville Alabama this weekend??? Brady and Madman & Co Racing will be bringing out our black Firebird for EZ Street. If you come be sure to stop by and say hi!!
what's the schedule madman? Aren't eliminations sunday? I got something to do till saturday afternoon/night, but am willing to make the late night trip down to see Brady light their *** up on sunday!

WE had some more gremlins pop up BUT we qualified. The car had serious tire shake problems about 50 ft out. One pass it was so bad the tire got ahold of the quarter panel and ripped the wheel well lip off the car. Sat nite we pulled the computer and the complete rear suspension off the car. We found a broke coil spring on the rear end(QA1 made in china junk). We repaired it and went to first round sunday morning. The car ran a 5.36 with a serious surge but we won. We pulled so much power out sat. that it was running way too fat and trying to foul the plugs. For the second round we put the 5.07 tuneup from Hattiesburg back in and raised the 2 step to 4000 rpm. The car left with a 1.28 60ft on the rear tires and was on a run. I had an electric shifter on the car and it failed to make the gear change. By the time the driver realized it he was on the rev limiter and the other car got around us. The electric shifter is somewhere in the parking lot at Huntsville where it landed when I threw it.
I am trying to rent SCD sunday to get all the bugs out before South Carolina next weekend.

Was the busted rear spring the reason the tire was rubbing on the RR??

Tim it was nice meeting you guys. Sorry I couldnt shoot the **** more with you. Yeah the spring was allowing the tire to rub.
The QA1 parallel coil over springs are indeed junk, I dont know who specs them but they use too many coils and they are almost stacked up at ride height with the proper rate and I tried a few different rates. AFCO or hypercoil are a ton better thats for sure..
