ported LT1 heads aren't horrible, look at the Lloyd Elliot setups... But if you want big #'s, go with the SBC heads and get someone to convert them to reverse-cooling. You'll never get an LT1 or LT4 head to flow 250+, but some SBC heads will go 300+

yeah but for the price your going to spend having a set of heads (reverse flowed).u can build a stroker motor.or put n20 on it and have even more power then u would if u went with the sbc heads. plus u can get the le2'sor a 12 bolt for your rear.i was going to have it done to mine useing a set of brodix heads. but due to a $3k price tag i backed out.

Vengeance is a big user of TEA. Whatever TEA offers for the LT1 motor, Vengeance can get/do for you. I'm not sure of their tuning capabilities on that car though. Call them and ask. Can't hurt. They're good people. 1-678-513-7105.

Well it all depends on what you want to do with the car as well. If I were building an all-motor beast, I'd definately go with SBC heads... but for a street car, as I said, LT1 or LT4 heads with some work are fine.

i'm not bashing u.i was just saying that is a lot of money for some heads.for the kind of money he would probly be better off putting a sbc motor in and converting it over or just running a carb.

my factory lt1 heads (ported) with stock valves will flow 250cfm. i've seen a set with larger valves flow 278 @ .600. this work was done by cylinder head concepts (steve chapman) in chickamauga, ga. (706) 375-7019. i've seen alot of aftermarket lt1 heads that wont do that. although the trickflows that are fully cnc'd from TEA, flow really well(314cfm claimed). streight from trickflow , they only flow around 250cfm.
