Would you like to know what happened when we mystery shopped Maxie like we were customers? One salesman thought that C5's have a spare tire!!!! He went inside to find out where the spare tire was... didn't know what "HUD" stood for (heads up display).... and what's with the (3) different horspower levels ranging from 300, 385, and 400 on a stock LS1? NONE are correct answers!
Oh, and there's more!!! but even more funny was the Bill Heard and Tom Jumper dealerships..... pathetic.

Sad they didn't even know specs that should be the most basic knowledge, how are they (salesmen at generic dealerships) going to educate the customer on all the pitfalls and show you why "x" Corvette is the cherry pick of the bunch? They can't even tell us how much horsepower the damned engine makes!
Oh, and the car that had the front license plate cover removed... he said, "that's a factory option."
It was standard and to replace it the cost is $20!!!

But as far as specialty dealerships (Corvette only) and franchise joints..... there's no comparision when it comes to the best possible sales experience....
Where else in one day (just some of our 125+ inventory) can you drive a '63 split window, mid years running big and small blocks including a Triple Crown Winning '67 427 priced $50k below its less documented twin sold for elsewhere--- (Proteam sold theirs for 230k and ours is 179k) You get instant equity when you buy from us!!!!
I give up the list goes on.. here's a thread with pictures... https://ls1tech.com/forums/southern-members/671321-joshua-s-new-job-corvette-heaven-pics.html

Maxie Price is a plain-jane generic car dealership priced at the very high end of book, staffed with goofballs (aside from you) posing as professionals..... and Proteam has a very "unapproachable" way of doing business.... when you send them an email the 1st reply you get is an extensive, probing credit app... if you don't have $50k minimum they wont even talk to you....
And they still sold their '67 for more with LESS documentation/awards/quality/equity... simply because that same buyer had no idea we had one better......
We'll never be a Proteam, and I'm proud to say that... and THANK GOD we'll never be a Maxie Price either.
Steve...
possible customers. I talked to my brother-in-law and he would rather buy from an individual,
but if he can't find what sis wants then he may give ya'll a call.

It is commendable that you have such loyality to where you work.. But geeze relax dude .. I must have struck a nerve .. I can see that you are jealous of Pro Team..which is very natural on your part .. their reputation for quality is known far and wide..they are the BIG DOG in the vintage Corvette market and you guys wish you were in their league...the big guys always have rocks thrown at them by the wannbes... that is the way of the world...the fact that they got the big money for the car that you keep bringing up proves my point..they got it because of their reputation and folks with deep pockets go see the big dog..that is the market that they have targeted and they seem to do a great job at it ... profit is not a dirty word sir it makes the world go around..but I digress .. we were talking about a used C5 before you started ******* ProTeam ... as I said before if someone is looking for a preowned C5 or a C6 I'll stack my inventory up against anyones..our inventory changes so fast it is crazy ... we get excellent low mile cars in on a daily basis and they leave just as quickly .. you have no clue as to who works at our dealership..I have never seen you set foot on the property .. we are a full line Chevy dealer..but we do specialize in late model Corvettes we do not stock or try to stock vintage Corvettes it is not our market...we have been in the top three in the nation in new Corvette sales for the past ten years..besides myself there are 3 other Corvette specialists here that have many years of Corvette experience and 4.0 CSI ratings on a possible 4.0 score .. you are speaking in generalities my young friend based on what you saw when you worked at a Mazda store..this has turned into a pissing contest which was not my intent..so I'll leave it as it is..and to the person who started this thead good luck in finding your car where ever you find it..peace ..
