thinking about a GA get together... I was sitting around yesterday...as I have been for 15 years...and it occurred to me that many of our local GA members might be interested in firearms. We frequent many of the local shooting ranges and I would venture to see if there would be an interest in renting one out for a night/day for a local get together and maybe cook out afterwards... 
Im up for any ideas and possible dates...maybe mid or end of July...

Sounds like a plan. Pends on when and where. If we drove trucks, we could use one of the WMA's.

sounds as if we need to be planning a weekly gtg then move ahead with something bigger, like a bbq or cruise in...
Ill break the ice and vote for a wednesday night GTG somewhere on the North side. My guess is that it would need to start around 7 to give people enough time to get there.
Any opinions?
There is a buffalo wild wings on mansell road. That would be pretty centralized for everyone coming from out west, east and from the north and we could alternate weeks and locations for our southern ATL folks, if we have any.

Anywhere in GA that sells Alcohol for consumption is illegal to carry a firearm in. Even if they are inside your vehicle, outside the resturant it is still illegal. Sorry to burst your bubble guys. Georgia firearm laws are jacked up big time. With the Public Gathering law as well as Resturant carry. You can learn more by going to these websites listed below.

Tacomac in Marietta off Dallas Hwy. That manager there is a DOUCHE BAG!!! I still go there all the time though. haha Hooters near Cumberland Mall has some hot girls. Probobly the best Hooters i've been too. In terms of girls. And i've been to alot of Hooters.
FYI: indoor ranges in Cobb are Hotshots and Ed's Guns. Hotshots puts a limit on rapid fire shooting. Ed's does not.
I'd rather go to an outdoor range however. That is if i'm off work to even be able to go.
