oringing gives you a little more protection but mostly you need good a/f and enuff octane for whatever power you are making

I think you need to quit listening to people on the internet and go to a good shop that works on them everyday and go with what they say if you don't know yourself. There is so many internet racers its not even funny with all the advice in the world but no first hand knowledge. Just my .02

Good luck

First of all Cometics arent worth a ****. They are no better than a GM MLS gasket.... There are TONS of people out there making insane power with GM MLS gaskets.... Cometics two advantages are 1. custom applications 2. Reusable... Other than that they are no better than a GM MLS.... Flame away

FWIW, Cometic DOES suggest that once an engine is fired for 2 to 3 heat cycles that the studs/bolts are to be re torqued. They also suggest copper spraying the gaskets if you dont have an exceptionally smooth surface on the block/heads...

Also, Chris can O ring/ Receiver groove/buy new heads/buy used heads/jack off on his motor... It doesnt matter. An MLS gasket shouldnt have pushed water at the boost level he was at if everything else was correct...

Well, the guy who tuned it, told me it was not finished. The problem's I have are due to the tune, but i am to stubborn to stay out of the throttle. The tuner did not finish the tune because of it pushing water, and I thought it would be ok for alittle while.I was wrong. He is a good tuner in his own way's,he did tune the 1245 rwhp twin turbo 07Z06. All in all i am to blame because i cannot stay out of the gas when I was told to. Oh well ,my car, my money. Hammer on!!
