I wouldn't do it there. I live right around the corner from there. There is always some cop whether it be a trooper, sheriff, or a slidell cop hanging in that parking lot and then the pinehurst neighborhood is right behind there. If somebody gets stupid with their car out there the first thing those whiny people are going to do is call the cops. The other thing is that all the parking lots in slidell such as hobby lobby, pizza depot, and the old movies8 the slidell cops act like retards and run everybody off and if they don't leave they write tickets. My suggestion would be to do it like you all originally planned at John Slidell Park. The cops can't run you off, it has decent parking and there are picnic tables and stuff. If we do it there I'll bring the grill out and cook up some stuff for everybody. Just pick a day and lets make this happen.

As long as people aren't getting stupid, I don't see the old Outlet Parking Lot being a problem. Especially if it's during the daytime. Now, at night, the cops will come run us off. People are always learning how to ride motorcycles, dump trash, and parking there without any problems. Even when the troopers or sheriff deputies sit there. Also, the people at Pinehurst neighborhood never complain about anything. There are always 4 wheelers, fireworks, and loud vehicles going through there and riding on the levee. And, if we get run off, we switch to parking at the park.
Well I work out here and I think that parking lot is not the jurisdiction for slidell cops so we dont have to worry about them. Let's try for the 17 behind the mudbugs and see if the sheriff cops are cool.
Can anyone give directions coming from new orleans?? Not to familiar with a whole lot on the northshore!! Or is anyone riding up there in a group from down here??
17th it is. It is exit 263 off I-10. It's right behind McDonalds, Fleet Truck stop, Texaco, Mud Bugs, and across from Wendy's. You can see it from the Interstate.
Take I-10 to twin spans across the lake, when you get to the north shore go about 1.5 miles and get off at old spanish trail exit, veer to the right, look to the left, see the mcdonalds, directly behind the mcdonalds, vacant shopping mail.

Make no mistake, that property is annexed by the C.O.S. for tax purposes but since the building is empty, like you said S/o will be likely to come out. The street going to it is even named after an ex mayor that set it up, maybe they could hold him responsible for being such a huge flop...
