northshore meet
we need to find a place on the northshore where we can have a meet like the N.O. meet. if anyone has any ideas of potential places post it up. the only places i can think of are the john slidell park, but during the summer might have bunch of kids playin ball. or the strip mall off of old spanish trail where hudsons used to be. slidell, mandeville, covington area, where ever on the northshore.

Also: Fritchie Park by Salmen, The Park on Front St by the boat launch (a lil small), the real old park in old town slidell by the post office, The Mandeville Lakefront (very nice!) wanna do a lil traveling? Hwy 90 somewhere around Henderson Point in Mississippi on the beach or one of those abandoned parking lots on hwy 90 across from the beach? Somewhere in Waveland too. All just suggestions.

i thought about the lakefront in mandeville. the only thing i would be concerned with is that it is not a very large parking lot. i will go and look at the other areas you mentioned. thanks for the input, and keep em comin.

Nothing wrong with a truck. i was building mine up as a cam and N20 truck. but then i realized it was an extended cab . there is a dude on PT.net selling his 04 reg. cab that runs mid 12's with a cam and some juice. no doubt they can be fast

Their is more than two areas where you can back in to park there, the one by those bars is the smaller of the two, it likely holds like 10-15 cars, then there is another one down closer towards the causeway end, that one holds at least 20 cars. Their is one more down a different road, its like a park, lets call it 'look out point", thats about what it is, this one is closest to the cauesway, has pavillions, tables, benches and a pier but gated and only open on certain times like weekends.
Also, there are two places in old madisonville that are nice, one is the parking areas by the river in the old town area by the old bridge but very crowded and busey on the weekends and the other is a few blocks away, I have been to a car show there before, its a big vacant lot, maybe 2 acres, close to some high end homes, I am sure ya just cant show up and park, but its a very nice area, close to their public playgrounds too.
