i think i got ripped

Well i recently blew up my 1998 z28 ls1 motor and had it fixed back stock. The whole bottom end not forged cost me 2000 for parts and labor to get it running sounds like i got ripped but not sure.

That sounds about right, what all did they replace?

most shops carge aroung 1000to pull the motor and around 900 to prep and assemble the bottom end + parts depending on what you broke thats about right

Yeah dude, I was quoted 1800 for a short block rebuild if I pulled th emotor myself and did all the assembly on the top end... You actually got a good deal...
