Blah blah blah. I hate getting in on the convo late. At what point will stand-alones be allowed in EFI or will they? Maybe in the "fast" class? If not, there's no way I could ever compete with Frank or the nitrous LS1's. I'm wanting to tear the car down this year when I get back home, but I don't know what to do past that point. I could always run in a faster class that would allow a S/O ECU, but EFI has always looked fun.
as of right now I don't think they will but I think they should in the outlaw class. I think the 2 class should be efi street and efi outlaw where anything goes.

but then your ******* the middle men up, the first class should be the street class all motor and no power adder unless it came factory with it, the second class should be the power adder class with some limits bc with no limits before you know it we will be out running hot street, and as for the same as outlaw rules that would be stupid, i'm definitely not an outlaw car and bc of some stupid *** overdrive tranny rule that someone came up with i would be stuck in that class, i think if i dont need the gear why have it, this isn't a 1/4 mile track. i'm not trying to start and argument i'm just giving my opinion.
i guess either way there is always going to be bitching about the rules bc everybody wants them in a way thats beneficial to them, but if it turns into a no-limit outlaw efi class i'll have better luck running hot street.
Hot Street? LMAO Randy Westmoreland's car would fit the rules they are talking about... Last I checked he had part of the track record, and the new combo in '08, he'll probably have the whole record. That would be bad to have to run somebody that runs 4.4s or better at over 160mph in the 1/8th, pull both chutes and still outrun everything else if its a 1000' race. Which there is no way it could be based on THOSE rules.
And before anybody says "why would he want to". Because I'll supply the fuel for him (and whatever else he wants) just to show how dumb that rule combination is.
