I believe they're supposed to start test and tune around 3 Friday afternoon and start running time trials at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Your wrong, they have done a great job, and from what I can tell they have been spraying the whole track. They ran all the cars today in TNT, and ALL of them being 463 give or take a few.

I have been impressed by the track employees they seem to know what they are doing and are a step ahead of everyone else. Other than the fact that they took a little time to dry the track off.

Sure hope it clears out and the show gets going.

Well I had to leave early cause I have to go out of town in the morning, but the rain cleared out around 2pm or so and they started racing. 9.8 field was picked as we were leaving. We had VIP tags so we got to meet most of the staff and look at the "WAR ROOM" where Nate and Adam do the cards and watch to make sure your not sandbagging. All in all had a real good time, Rich, Nate, Adam, and Kale are stand up guys and I was happy to meet them. They said this was the best "All Out" show by far that they have done because of the spectators and RRR staff. They also said they hope to be back in about 4-5yrs do to trying to hit every track in the nation. Next show is in Gainesville, FL I think. If any of you running made the pick good luck to ya. The 9.8 field looked pretty stout.

The track was hooking really good tonight and the RRR staff was on their game. You should give RRR another try, the track prep has been great so far this year. We were there two weekends ago, on street tires, and they were trying to hook.

Chevy pick-up from Arkansas wins $10,000, Red River Raceway wins with a large crowd, Fans win with great racing (but they did need more seating). Over all was a good show

I really did not care for the Pinks show before going to this event but I must admit that was the best racing I've seen in a long time. I've been to every big event RRR has ever run and this crowd was atleast twice as big as any other crowdI've seen there. That wheelie contest was bad ***, I wish the weather woulda held off so that silver notchback Stang coulda had another go at it. they did time it just right though, as soon as the cars returned from the last pass it started to rain

Here's my story, and Jim Hudelson got some great photos in the photo gallery.

The few times I have covered big national events, it's usually a pain in the butt. But the media relations guy from speed was awesome to deal with. He first and foremost gave the hubby media credentials - this was one story Josh definitely wanted to tag along on.
I got to interview Nate and I had just finished my story about 7:30 for my 8:30 deadline when I got called to interview Rich and the other execs. It was great. All of the guys were great and kept commenting on how good the fans and racers were. They couldn't believe everyone waited out the rain. I just told them waiting out rain is a fact of life down here.
I had to go to the war room to get the fastest time of the day, and Josh wound up staying in Rich's motorhome shooting the bull with them. I think he was trying to get a job.

Yeah it was kinda messed up that Trans Am had a coolant leak and screwed the track up. I was about 200ft out and when he came by us and it looked he had his windshield washers on. I called it before it happened someone should have paid a bit more attention because someone could have been seriously injured or really damage thier ride.

It was a good track, but my car wouldn't hook. It done a lot better at Centerville. Wish we would have had more runs to adjust on them. Smoked the tires through three gears both times

It was heartbreaking when they picked a 9.8 class and not Keltner who ran a 9.81. I had a blast. I am willing to bet that I start going to Memphis and RRR a lot more. I never realized how close it was. The food was great (other than the $5 hamburger lol) the crowd was HUGE, I have never seen so many people in one place at the same time. I have 80 pictures to load up and sort through. They were all from the TNT day, since I left my camera in the truck on Saturday.
