Im thinking of getting the PRC ported and polished L92's from Texas Speed, a FAST 102 with NW 102 tb 50lb injectors with the FAST fuel rail. I'd need the ls3 intake if Im not mistaken, correct?
IMO, more TQ can be produced with the cathedral port head. The L92 stuff flows a lot of air, it just doesn't flow a lot of air real fast....if you understand what I'm saying. If you want to race flow benches, the L92's are for you. If you want to make the car fast, there are other options.
Advanced Induction ported 243's are worth 40-50rwhp on every motor I've installed them on. And they're a helluva lot cheaper than most of the competition that puts out something even remotely close to the same #'s.

The "Kit" comes with a programmer but I had to buy HP Tuners as I bought it used from a guy in CA. You don't have to tune on a dyno just run conservative timing, it is ideal and much easier but not a must. And actually for driveability a street tune is better anyways.
Well I've decided on PRC 6.0 Stage 2.5's, a NW 102 throttle body, and a Fast 102 with 50lb injectors. After consulting with some friends Ive decided that this will work now and later since sometime next year Im going to get my block resleeved and stroke my engine to a 416. After it gets stroked it will be a very mild build that should put me somewhere around 550n/a hp.
You could, but if you want anything close to 500rwhp I would do the 243's over the 6.0L. You can build a TON more compression with the smaller chamber, and that is going to make a significant difference.
I'm not knocking PRC's. They're decent heads and I use them all the time. But for your combo, I'd do it right the first time and send your 243's off to A.I. They have that port down to a science and it's a damn near guaranteed 50rwhp gain on any motor.
Also, you do not need 50lb injectors. 42's will be plenty for now, or your 550rwhp N/A motor. That's a big problem with a lot of cars these days. People are putting too much injector in them. FWIW, I've pushed 42's to 600rwhp and still had 10% left before maxing them out.
Just sayin..

The GTO is my daily driver so turn around time is vital, and I can use a different head gasket to increase compression. Thats the only reason why I'm waiting til late next year to pull the trigger on the 416.
