I highly agree with the idea of a GM (or muscle car period) club around here. We live in an area dominated by ricers/tuners who think that roll racing is the only way to race and talk crap about anything not made by nissan or honda. Don't get me wrong, I like all fast cars, but these import driving punks have no respect in Columbus. Even though Jeremy smoked most of the real competition out there, they still talk crap about his GN.
Most of the people with the most powerful muscle cars probably show up like once every few months and never come back out because they have no one to hang with. We need to get more muscle to show up period. I don't even care if they're driving a Ford. And besides, we don't really even have to race to have fun. Just meeting new people and talking about cars is good enough for me.

well ive scheduled and put together a firehawk meet in tulsa, OK because i saw a need for one in that area and decided to step up to the task. now im seeing a need for a GM performance based car club right here in columbus, and am trying to get something going. as long as people will work together and help spread the word, and also help with anything that may need organized and/or scheduled, then we can actually have something pretty neat going. im all for it, and since i spend about 50% of my time bored as hell and eager to hit the streets, this will just keep more occupied with scheduling and such things. also we may have to set up some kind of annual dues or something of the nature to help fund some things like perhaps club stickers and such things. just an idea though. im a member of the FAOA (Firehawk Association Of America) and our dues are only $20 per year and they are one of the largest car clubs in the world, so it can be done without tons of money being thrown at it.
as far as hanging out again, who is up for saturday night again?

I say we get up a collection to get chris his distributor, so we can get him on the road.
I'm down for a high performance club, we are all sick of taking on these ricer noobs solo.
I'll be out saturday too, later like 9-10pm, Where should we meet up? Everything Musical? or Britt david park? I'd like to stake out a place in there and see if we get any fish for the frying pan

well i think for now we should just try and keep it in the same place until we can find a place better suited. everything musical is right off the side of veterans which makes an ideal place to be seen, especially if we park up by the road. we will just have to scout out some other places to park if we are going to change the location. for now it will be really easy to tell people how to get where we will be at too. plus, its kind of funny being right there next to the ricers and see the worried looks on their faces when they see american muscle. lol
