Went and looked at an 87 Grand National today with no motor or trans. Owner said some of the interior was missing. So I was like ****, if its a real GN it'll atleast have the 8.5 rear and the guy was only asking $600. But the rear was swapped out for the weak *** 7.5 and the floors were rusty as hell.....total waste of time.

 

That does suck. So are you abandoning the Malibu?

 

Yeah, its too rusty. I kind of wanted something I could drop the motor in and drive it without too much work.

 

There are two one on lumkin and the other is in PC at Twisted Fusion motorsports or whatever its called.

Going to look at an 89 GT tomorrow, already has a 31 spline 8.8 3.55 gears, and drag radials

Picked it up today. By far the nicest car I looked at, just needs a little cleanup and it'll be ready to go.

Hatch, this is more of a driver than a racer. I've looked for motor mounts and haven't been able to find anything so I guess I'll make some, lol.

 

team z is the answer lol if you dont mind going coil over...they make the metal matrix k member and solid mounts, very affordable i dislike hatches though but since itll be ls powered ill live with it lol

Also picked up my tial 44mm wastegate and ordered my intercooler, piping, new victor jr carb manifold, all the v bands and pipe to build the kit, and taking the car to CCE to get the header primaries moved to clear facing forward

 

Sweet! Let me know if you need any help welding. If you want I can teach you how to program the MSD box, it uses the same software as my digital 7 to map the timing curve.
