If we can race from a dig, I'll spill the beans on what I got, but not until we get a good honest run in.
Aww man, so no 4th gear roll to 200mph?

A dig? Let's see, you're going to make me put the good tires on the n/a 500rwhp C5, then swap them to the 600rwhp blown C5, then back to the other C5 for a sprayed run.... hmm... that sure does sound like a lot of trouble for me.

Why not just lemme know what we are expecting and that will save me a few turns of the lugwrench or trigger pulls of the impact gun.

Here's a little video of an n/a run in the Vengeance Z06:

I don't mind lining up, although in years past I definitely earned my nickname - i.e. www.youtube.com/yukonsneaky with some "unbeknownst-to-my-competitors" nitrous hits; but I've been very 'full disclosure' recently.

The blue car in my sig is a 2002 C5 M6, procharger running 12 psi, methanol injection, stock LS1 w/ small boost cam (seriously small, like 220 w/ lift in the 560 range), put down 596rwhp in the current tune. With the stock cam and before the methanol injection it ran 10.8 @ 129.

The red car in my sig is not mine, but I would drive it in said contest; it's a Vengeance stroker (402 or 408). 525rwhp n/a, and has a TNT kit on it jetted for 100hp.

The blue 1st gen (looks purple in the sig pic) is actually for sale, it belongs to a friend of mine in Midland. High compression 396 n/a motor.

I was going to go, but then I thought about it and remembered my decision to not ever go to that track for a while, well at least until they get stuff better situated.

Excellent. We may be able to check out the action during the week a little, because my schedule changed, and I work late nights at Papa Johns, and stay up all night and go to work at 230am till 630am at my day job, then come home and sleep during the heat. Call me when you get into town, and we'll meet up somewhere.

How about this coming weekend - someone said there was going to be a car show sponsored by the Corvette club at Bill Heard Saturday; anyone got any details?

Also, I saw a red new Mustang yesterday and snapped a few pics, license plate said "PROCHRGD"

Man I'm glad that this joint finally got something going in Columbus... I left home (Lake Harding) about 2 years ago and the only thing going on in Col was at Britt David or "the hole" behind the car wash off of Vets... I'll be home on the 4th of July and I'd like to see what the f-body scene in Columbus/Phenix City has turned into... Too bad I sold mine or i'd have to break some hearts.. (hehe)

Does anyone know John Dozier? He used to run at the PC 1/8 mile track and East Alabama...

60 days left in Idaho. Got a 9" for the 97 and it's already in the car. I guess there's some clearance issues with the torque arm and the trans tunnel. As soon as I get back I got to get my name on the list for a garage at the apartments I stay in. Once that's done I'll be bringing her to atlanta for paint and finially to columbus. I just hope I don't have any issues with the SS. I'd hate to have to spend some of my paint money on the it.

Seems to me the Columbus Corvette club would spring for a decent web site.

Quick update on it, an unsubstantiated (sp?) source told me yesterday that it put down (and I quote) "five hundred and something horsepower". I asked a clarification as to if that was rwhp / bhp, etc. and they said "yeah, like to the wheels".

However, these cars stock put down high 200's rwhp and the standard Procharger kit with FMIC bumps them up to the mid/low 400's, ~440rwhp or so.

That sounds like 500 bhp to me, not rwhp, but then again that doesn't take into account any other mods, which it may very well have more boost, meth injection, etc. stuff that like would bring it up to 500rwhp, which I guess could qualify as "five hundred something"

I guess I should refer to my C5 as only having 500-something rwhp Maybe they wouldn't assume that meant 596rwhp... lol

I've seen that car around town before. There's another one that looks just like it that is also supercharged, but he has different wheels. Is this the mustang that belongs to a guy in the military?

I found out that I think it belongs a friend of mine from back in the day, Keith Smith from Harris County, his wife drives it.

Not to really question someone who may or may not know more about the new mustangs than i do, but my best friend has a 2008 GT and stock they are only putting out 300hp to the flywheel, so in my experience that is far from upper 200s to the wheels. there is also a red stang running around columbus very similar to the one pictured here and he has stripes down the hood that read "supercharged". it has a saleen stage 2 supercharger, gears, clutch, wheels, tires, exhaust, etc. and is supposed to be 455hp at the flywheel. when i still running street tires i raced him from a dig and when i hit second gear i left him standing. he claimed he missed second gear, but its not my fault he cant drive. either way id have beaten him so it really doesnt matter to me. my point is just that the new mustangs arent all they are cracked up to be. guy i baught my hawk from has an 07 GT500 vert and it is dynoed at 634hp and 624tq at the flywheel, and he is even worried that my hawk would stomp it from a dig. as im sure you know forced induction only works best when the rpm's are up, so if i am making my power off idle, then i can get the drop on most forced induction cars, plus my cam makes the most power from 4k to 6k but still makes plenty of torque to get me off the line hard. its a combo that seems to work well for me. not saying im the fastest or anything like that, just saying that it works well. lol

hey milkman, didnt get my truck down to GA afterall. it wouldnt fit on my trailer so i brought my trailer to sell it instead. it only wouldnt fit because of the wheels and tires i have on it. if any of you know of anyone who wants to buy a trailer i have one for sale. you can fit most vehicles on it, or use it for hauling materials. it has ramps with it and everything. its about a year old and in excellent condition. inside the rails its 6'4" X 16'2". ramps are heavy duty as well. im asking 1500 for it, and a comparable trailer from lowes or home depot is roughly 2500 dollars. so if anyone knows of someone get in touch with me.
