head up, I believe you are talking about the RED WS6 that was stolen in late feb. If so... yea that was my car and they totaled the rear,top, bottom end of my car, destroyed my steering column, and tore out my body control module. I am still paying for the repairs. I have went in about 10 grand now because of them. It was a perfect mint car while i had it. BUT THE BEST PART!!.. the New Orleans DA, are going to bring me to court with the car jackers... for.. the steering column...ONLY. The DA said I can't prove them that the jackers destroyed my whole drivetrain.. I really got screwed because of NO. I wish i could help, but I am still hurting from these people. They were professionals though. They by passed the chip in my 99' and didn't even chip a door

they were robbing places in NO, ( like banks and stores) but they messed up by trying to get away with a red TA WS6... it is very noticable and when they didn't pull over after the robberies were reported it became a high speed chase. They just finally pulled over in the end without further damaging my car, but I lost out on everything because of these guys.

HEADS UP, I don't remember if I posted this, but they were professionals, because, 1. broke in to my car with not setting the alarm off 2. Didn't damage my door/ paint/ ect while getting in. 3. Cracked my steering column exactly where they needed to to disable my chip/ ignition. 4. Pulled down the under the dash passenger panel and through out my body control module and pulled out 3 specific wires and had an aftermarket control module to run my car with out thekey chip. I know this is crazy, but they did all this within mins in front of my house.

I am not sure if you know by now, but they guys caught with my car, WERE NOT the initial car jackers. They bought from some guy in NO. Those people are still out there. They were just laying low for these few months.

I just can't believe the stuff people will do and not care how it's going to effect everyone in the end.

BTW, the skinny black that was caught in my car is facing a long time in prison, but the big guy, he's getting a slap on the wrist because it was his first offense.... HE WAS IN MY CAR!!.. he knew it was stolen and still choose to be there. New Orleans really gets me mad, it's there system thats not help out.

If it wasn't for those guys running away and making head line news with my car.. I wouldv'e never found it. I am lucky it wasn't chopped. They kept it for about 25 days.. So if you lost your car there is still hope. But you might not want to pay to get it fixed back up when you get it back.

 

why don't you guys have fuel cut off switches? You can't kill the spark on them, but you can damn well put a toggle switch in a location usually odd and hard to get too that will kill power to the fuel pump. Don't make it easy for them. I'd rather come out to a broken window/steering column than my car missing.

It's not hard to do....find the wire in the trunk that powers your fuel pump, cut it and put a on off toggle switch somewhere. MIght take you 30 minutes for that added safety. When you're not in your car the switch is off and car won't start. $20 safety mod.

The best thing to do is cut and tap into the wire in a VERY difficult to get place so that they can't just get right to where you did the mod. Chase the wire behind some panels or under the carpet and go from there. And solder all connections.

 

a lot of them are being stolen without ever being cranked..using some sort of tow truck most likely.

when they stole my buddy roy's car he never heard them start it. his bedroom window was not 20 yards away from the car. his car had a magic stick, long tubes, catless duals with sweet thunder mufflers (i think). it was loud, he'd have heard them.

 

They tried to steal my fox body mustang years ago but i had the fuel kill switch in a very good place. The got in the door and pushed it around the corner to try and start it. They couldn't get it started and found the car 1 block from the house on the next street. They didnt' take anything. Car was fingerprinted but no one was caught.

That's probably what they did to your boy. Tow trucks make a lot of noise. They probably broke in, put it in neutral, and pushed it around the corner.

 

Gas powered tow trucks are not loud at all, My uncle has one that he repos cars with and you can't here it for ****, not even when the tow lift is moving up or down, its extra quit and there not hard to get.

Blake I have a few stock exhausts from WS6s. I sold everything else already, but am willing to help with labor, donation for lojack,etc. For those who are just reading this I was a victim of these thugs also. I still haven't heard anything on the whereabouts of the car. Stolen in October of '07, an '02 red WS6 in Baton Rouge.

 

Anything we can get will help. For obvious reasons we aren't going to use all we get donated but it helps to have a full deck of options. Parts will be returned as discussed with donating parties
