Ok guys here goes,

As you know we have been dealing with a Baton Rouge/ Southern LA F-body theft ring for years now. We thought we had a handle on the thiefs until recently. What seems to be another wave has been striking the area at an accelerated rate... more vehicles per week than we have ever documented. These guys waited until we let our guard down and struck hard.

What I'm asking for is any parts donations from users on this board so that we can construct a bait car for these low-life scum bags.

Pending on the parts quantities, I will gather a team of 5-6 people and build the bait car in the form of an SS or WS6 clone...whichever parts I get more of is what I will build.

Donations in the form of labor, parts or information on these guys is greatly needed. We will even take cash donations if necessary, however it is hard to return cash after the ring is broken up....parts can be returned after their use is complete at the owners request.

I have a pretty sound reputation on this board and will chose only highly moral individuals to work on this project... I will also disclose all information, pictures of the bait vehicle and a complete list of contributing members to LS1tech personnel so that we can be sure that no one whom helps with these efforts gets screwed.

For security purposes, the shop of construction (not FMS) will have to remain a secret as well as the color, model and specifics of the bait car. Afterall, we don't want to do all this work just to have an internet lurker able to monitor our progress as well as specifically avoid the bait car knowing it's intent.

As of now, it looks as though it will be mainly an appearance car... one that looks bad *** but is pretty much a hunk that will require ALOT of effort to steal.... as well as tracking devices installed to monitor the vehicle.

The idea is to unite enthusiasts together to catch these guys NOW. I'm done waiting on NOPD, time to take matters into our own hands. I'll even send videos to contributing members of the thieves being caught as reward for their patronage.

I know it is asking alot to ask you to send in parts on good faith, but the fact is this is the only way we will catch these guys at this moment. Please, if you have anything you can get to us, PM me and make arrangements. This may be our only hope.

I have been plotting thefts and have a very good idea on striking patterns as well as good staging areas.. see the stolen F-body thread I started months ago...

List of things that may be needed:
F-body vehicle (preferably a salvage titled car or craptastic V6 car)
SS spoilers, Trans am hatches
Hoods (SS or WS6 or other aftermarket)
Wheels (WS6, Zr1's, TT2's or other aftermarket)
Trans am Bumpers (if needed to convert a firebird to look like a ws6)
Used aftermarket exhaust kits
Tracking devices (from a dealer or cash donation to purchase. Purchasers gets the tracking devices when we are done with them.)
Badges, emblems etc

Even if you have broken or damaged parts, let me know. We may be able to use them.

Please help and or spread the word about needing these things. Let's knock it out and get these guys... one way or another.

I will see what I can loan to help out. Also I am willing to put a hand in the build of the car. After all I do have a very very strong hatred for these people seeing how they got my car.

One question, can we rough them up before we call the popo's?

 

its not a flashy aftermarket, but i have the muffler w/ tips off my WS6 id be willing to donate to something like this

If they hit you when you had your guard down, chances are one of "them" may be affiliated with someone who knows what you guys are up to.

well the thing is, it slacked off for 3 months right after a few individuals got busted in NO with a stolen WS6... we thought it was pretty much over until now.

more than likely one group of thieves realized after the other group of thieves got busted there was a territory waiting to be taken over so they did.

 

Somewhere in my parts stash I have a stock GM 01 camaro SS cat back.

If you disclose all of the info to the ls1tech staff, do it by phone or mail. Absolutely ANY info disclosed over the internet would be subject to possible hacking. Also, I would just like to express my support to everyone who stands up for themselves instead of waiting for "the government" to fix their problems. BTW, I have a range finder I'm not using right now if the rifle donor or triggerman need it. Also, don't forget the old South African trick of tying an old tire around the subject, filling it with gas, and lighting it on fire.

 

So are these guys going to the extremes that the others did? Update on the map w/ points plotted? sad to hear this is still going on. I read your whole thread and seems like these guys were some real pros. Hope you catch them man, good luck.
