Default Removing / ainting Firehawk hood vent grilles

Anyone ever remove the Firehawk hood vent grilles? I want to paint them, and would prefer to remove them to do it. It seems to me they are just stuck in the hood with some sort of epoxy stuff, but I don't know for certain. If you have, how did you then reattach them?

they are held on with double sided tape. You can heat up the adhesive and peel them off. Paint them, then reapply new adhesive tape and reinstall.

Yes, I removed Mine, Just held on with emblem tape. Easy to just hook one and pull it off.

Did you paint your's a satin black, gloss, ...?

Actually I sent them to Specialized Stainless and had them powdercoated.

I painted mine 3 coats of satin black, and then four coats of clear.

They turned out perfect, but in the end I think powdercoating is a better idea, and will last longer.
