I'll buck the trend and say get which ever one floats your boat. It really doesn't matter what we think. But since you asked anyway, I say Camaro-SS.

does anyone have any idea what the 96 ss is worth? preferably the value in a good economy because right now nothing is worth what it should be worth. it has high mileage (100K) but it's 1 of 16, and 16 is a high number because i couldn't break down interior options or colors.
With that being said, to the OP, just get the one you like better.
1995 Firehawk, black, Hardtop,6-speed,cloth,
#521 of 671,
1 of 671 Hawks
1 of 536 1SC Hawks
1 of 397 6-speed cars
1 of 215 in Black
1 of 97 with graphite cloth
1 of 14 level II suspension
315hp package, SLP stainless exhaust two on the left, floor mats, hurst shifter package, Level II suspension.
If were getting that technical, mine is one of 14 with Level II suspension.
What ever you choose, Both look awsome, I have had a hand full f-body's, And the hardest ones to find are the Hawks, A Firehawk will always be rarer than an SS, no matter what. Production numbers don't lie!
If you need to do that to make it feel like you have a rare and unique car, do whatever floats your boat.
In reality, you could break almost any car down by options, color combinations, etc. and find that you might have something "rare" and unique. For example:
In 1994, there were:
168 Firebird Formula Convertibles built
463 Firebird Trans Am Convertibles built
In 1995, there were:
1037 Firebird Formula Convertibles built
In 1996, there were:
302 Firebird Formula Convertibles built
917 Firebird Trans Am Convertibles built
Those aren't even "special edition" cars, but if broken down by options/color combinations/etc., they become very rare and unique. What I'm saying is why does that really matter? It's not like you have the only Camaro SS on the planet, but you like the car that you have, so what else matters?
