Just bought a firehawk just bpught a 2001 firehawk today. Ill throw up a couple pics from the dealership. i have to have the car shipped here. I also ordered the birth cert and window sticker from slp today.

nice hawk. when i first got my 02 ws6, a week later the guy from the car lot called and asked if i'd like to trade him for an 02 formula hawk he had just gotten. got me excited but i found out it was a cloth/auto car so i stuck with mine.

FYI, ya might wanna check out the fenders tabs under the front fenders behind the wheels. It looks like the car was lifted incorrectly at one time or another & they bent the tabs out.

Hey mike, did you buy this car on a Monday? It looks like a car I saw here in Florida.I called the dealer on a Wednesday and was told the car was sold on Monday. If its the one Im thinking of you got a steal of a deal. CONGRATS!!! 
That was the car. Wsnt quite as good of a deal for me since I had to pay big bucks to ship it up. lol But its the car I wanted.
I put on the slp lid, shock tower brace, new cd player with hu mount, and painted the hood grilles.

Welcome to the club, when I bought my car over the internet (eBay too!), I was nervous like a **** until I actually saw it in person and looked it over, the car was real clean other than needing a new battery and some tire repairs from nails. Good Luck.
I hope you didnt throw out the original lid they are worth big bucks!

I was looking at a black Firehawk before I got my red one. I despise the color purple, and when I found out the flame in "Firehawk" was purple, I was immediately directed to another color.

The OP purchased a 2001 car which would have had the original equipment GM/Trans Am airlid.
(Which is actually shown in the photo in the first post, ...)
