All Formula WS6 owners check in here

Reading from my sons profile. He has (listed below) a 2001 Formula, we're 2nd owner. Original owner wanted a WS6 and we know they were no longer available, so day 1 before taking delivery he had the dealer install a GM RamAir Hood and Airbox. Guess thats as close as you can get in 2001!

11 of those 113 M6s were red (81U). Only 1 of the 20 1LEs in '99 was red. That leaves 10 red non-1LE WS6 Formulas. Not sure what the exact combination is, but the number of red HT WS6 Formulas w/ M6s built in '99 is very likely in the single digits.
Link in my sig (above) has the breakdowns.

Checking in with a black 1997 Formula Convertible WS6. It has 78,000 miles on it. My father also owns a 1997 Formula Convertible WS6. It is red with 50,000 miles on it. So we have two of the 41 WS6 Formula verts. built in 1997.

This is how I know
Well I bought another WS6 formula so I guess I need to sale this car. I picked this up about 9 months ago from another member. It's a white hardtop formula M6, with cloth interior, and a few miles over 48k on the clock. When I bought it it came with a MGW shifter, white face guages, eibach lowering springs, TTII's that were painted black(17X9 front, 17X11 rear), and high flow cats with a mufflex exhaust. Since then I've added a oem WS6 hood, blackbird stripes, 5000k/35w hid's with lmc housings, a new spintech muffler with gmmg oval tips, and I had the TTII's powdercoated black. I paid $9500 for it and thats what I would like to get back out of it. I've put a little over $2000 into it, and I've only put about 2000 miles on it. If it doesnt's sale as a M6 pretty quick I'm going to swap the six speed for a A4 and take about $1200 off the price. I don't have a lot of pictures of it right now, but here's one and I will get some more posted up pretty soon. All the spots on the front are bugs, I had just drove it about 90 miles when I took the pic. Let me know if you have any questions.

If it is real, just post up a picture of the door sticker showing the WS6 in the codes. If there is no WS6, it is not real. You also check your rad support/lid base, most people making a clone do not change that. Only WS6 cars had the tall one with the larger opening, not even the Firehawks had them. I can go measure mine if you want the dimension. Still, no WS6 on the door means you have a clone. Not that there is nothing wrong with that, you are just in the wrong thread.
Obviously I like the looks of yours, as it looks a lot like mine. Is your a M6 or automatic?

I thought the ws6 meant 5.7l in the codes. I anyone got the site to check the codes on the door? I have a 99 Formula with the ws6 code but it has aftermarket hood and doesn't say ws6 on the rear of the car. Also it had the k+n ram air intake instead of the lid so I just bought a slp lid and put on it. I just assumed mine was just a formula with a aftermarket hood.

Post a picture of the door codes.

I ordered mine from the GM website. I had to drive an hour and a half to the nearest dealer who accepted online orders for the car to put a down payment on it before production. It is a 98 WS6 Formula with just under 40,000 accident/ding free garage kept miles. She still looks pretty much stock on the outside except for the ATI Procharger, supporting mods and a 9" inch Moser rear. I hope I never have to part with it.
