GMMG Closed?
#183
I have talked to Matt at least 6 times in the last 2 weeks & he said he's open. (Oct. 15 - Nov. 1)
Open but limited staff.
Try Matt in the evenings. If he's not on the phone he should pick up the shop phone. Keep trying......770-928-2336
Please send photos & info of your GMMG car to the GMMG Registry.......... www.gmmgregistry.com

Thank Jim for the quick reply! Will try later at night. Are they have financial difficulties? There reputation is spotless... bad economic times maybe? Curious as to why they seem to have a reduced limelight in the community these days. The only thing GMMG I own is there exhaust but I love to hear about their projects, state of affairs. Is there a reason why the GMMG exhaust is now made by Vengeance Racing? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks again

Been more of a spectator and looker on here but the gmmg has me wondering. I've tried to call and e-mail Matt and I've had no luck. Hey Jim I spoke to you earlier this year, if you talk to Matt let him know I'm to get in touch with him. Trying to get my phase IIX for my Tom Henry, looking to do it in spring but wondering if its not worth saving the money for it and getting hopes up if he isn't doing cars anymore.

Can you email me pictures of your car similar to the others on my page? Front 3/4, Rear 3/4, Interior. I lack it on my website's production list and it'd be good to have!

All these posts and opinions. For the money required to purchase the cars you are all speaking about, customer service should be the first consideration. Doubt, the unknown, lack of communication, from any vendor or company no matter how good their reputation was, should cause the buyer to reconsider their decisions. Friendship shouldn't even play into the formula, because even if you really like the vendor and consider yourself a "friend", if you purchased something, you are a customer first and the "friend" part is going to be one way, especially if something goes sour. Truth and honesty when times are bad would pay dividends in this case.

Gmmg
I am sorry to say it looks like you can "put a fork" in GMMG Inc. I also tried a couple weeks ago to contact Matt about some upgrades for my GMMG #28 Tom Henry car, however no response at all from anyone at GMMG, in fact the phone has been disconnected. I have been following this thread for a year or so and things have not been looking good for a long time now for GMMG.
After much thought I have contacted Ron from Vengeance Racing about doing some major upgrades to the TH car (496 stroker motor) for the simple fact that they are the ones that will naturally carry on the GMMG name, think about it friends, Mike and Ron were at GMMG from the beginning, they built all of the 500 some cars that GMMG produced. Just take a look at their web site http://www.vengeancerd.com/ these people know what they are doing with high performance race cars. Lots or research and development going on, up to date equipment, fast and courteous response from all of the office people. Vengeance is light years ahead of GMMG. Check out their "You Tube" videos of recent projects, you can't help but be impressed.
I respect Matt, however when were talking about giving someone 25 thousand dollars to do major upgrades to your high dollar car I feel better served with Ron and Mike at Vengeance. Who else would you go to do any GMMG mods? to keep your investment in the GMMG cars the logical choice has to be Vengeance Racing.

Hi Bob! Yup the ZL-1 is sold and now I am going to have the guys at Vengeance Racing build me a 496 stroker monster for the Tom Henry car. I sent Ron a deposit today so the wheels should start turning on Monday or so. Apparently they are going to do some posting on the internet of the entire build, it will be interesting to watch the process. Bob you can check Vengeance's web site out on the "You Tube" section they have a 2002 Camaro
with the 496 motor in it, sounds nasty!

GMMG Closed?
I'm pretty sure that that Black SS is Ray B's car (GRB on this site). I was there the night that they loaded up this car that he bought from Leonard S here in Iowa and took down to Mike at Vengeance Racing.
It was snowing that night when we said goodbye to her........................
