Just looks like a guy took his car to Lingenfelter or possibly had the Dealer ship it there.
Also that is a Suncoast R/A Hood.

Nope, not anywhere near that. Doesn't even look like a 65K car which is what the owner claims he paid.

No underhood pics, not happening.

Definately BS. Even the "real" LPE Firebirds were modified by LPE AFTER they left the hands of Pontiac/GM. Maybe a Pontiac dealer (handled obtaining the LPE mods prior to initial delivery to the original owner), but definately not by the Pontiac (GM f-bod) factory.

Were any lingenfelter cars built at a GM factory? I was under the impression Lingenfelter got cars from GM after they where manufacteured and were lisenced to modify/resell them basically as new.

This car's motor/tranny was built and installed by ligenfelter, no doubt of that, I would not argue against someone who's saying it is a "lingenfelter formula".

Now...the price tag? a little steep, yes, but I'd say it'd probably be worth a little more than a stock LS1 car, being an NHRA car and being built by Lingenfelter...I'd say $21-$22k range would be more like it if its as good as it looks-it appears to be a very clean car.

NO. Like I said (and your next statement is correct), LPE was licenced by Pontiac/GM to build the Hurst/Lingenfelter Firebirds (~9 built in '97 and ~9 in '98). However, LPE modified finished cars after they were birthed by the St. Therese factory. A Pontiac dealer was involved in both providing the cars to LPE to be modified and getting the cars from LPE to the buyers after mods were installed. However, the cars never went back to the factory after they left LPE's hands. Thus, the seller's implication that the LPE "parts were installed through pontiac" factory is misleading at best.

More accurately, the car should be described as a "Formula w/ Lingenfelter-installed modifications". In this case, the buyer contracted LPE to install the mods, NOT GM or Pontiac. Considering "Lingenfelter Formulas" that WERE licenced by GM/Pontiac to be modified by LPE DO EXIST, to describe it as a "Lingenfelter Formula" is misleading.
