SS Identification. Maybe useful.
Hey guys I just ordered a new Tru Fiber SS hood that should be delivered just about any minute from the freight company. I ordered it because my factory hood is cracked all to hell and im about to get the car painted. When I took off the hood latch, this is what I found. My car is a 98. Is it possible this is the build number off my car? I searched for this but didnt see it anywhere...

Not sure on the numbered, Dave Hamburger could probably answer that for you.
On your car, honestly if you never plan to sell it I'd say install that aftermarket SS hood. If not, you need to buy a real used SS hood or new one from SLP (if they still have them) as a fake hood even on a real SS hurts the car's value.

Thank's for the reply. The value of the aftermarket hood is of no concern to me. This is my toy. One promise that I made when I bought this car from my mother in law was that I would never sell it and I have no intentions to ever do so. Im a Camaro fan through and through and ultimately this will end up being my track car long term.
