2001 Collectors WS6?
I'm looking at a 01 WS6 at a dealership back home in KY over the interenet here since I am about a billion miles away. It has a collectors edition patch on the front quarter panel. I have been trying to look for it on google and can't particularily find anything on a 2001 Collectors WS6. Look at the pics and tell me what you think is it legit or just a WS6 with a different paint job and collectors patch super glued on there. Theres more pics I only posted a few of them.
I'm pretty convinced that this is a custom 01 that just has a CE patch glued on. I decoded the vin as well.

there are no pics posted. and there is no such thing as a collectors edition 2001 trans am. there were all 02, yellow with black/grey stripes, embroidered headrests, CETA emblems and CETA rear bumper.
it may have been built in 01, but it will still need to be listed as an 02 model year.

A couple of years ago a Ford dealer near me, Anniston, Alabama I think it was, had a dark blue "01 or "02 Trans Am with the Collector Edition Trans Am (CETA) embroidered headrests, CETA rear deck mat and CETA emblems on the side fenders. It was not a CETA because I checked the VIN and RPO code(s) - just in case it had been repainted. When I let them know they told me that a wealthy dude near Birmingham had bought it for his son. The dealership had advertised it as a Collector Edition. Old rule - let the buyer beware.
Do your research and look for the correct RPO codes inside the door - the dealer should send them to you. Better yet, if you are "over there" get the RPO codes and post them here so we can help you. Get the VIN and have Jason (?) check it for you. If it is NOT yellow it is not a CETA and the CETA, as posted above, was 2002 only.
Could it be a NHRA Edition? Most dealers do not know what options and packages were from that long ago, especially if it is not a Pontiac dealership.

FWIW: Z15 is the option code for the Collector Edition cars
