Some GMMG trivia???? So what do you think? I'm sure there are many more neat stories. I'm aware of many other interesting facts but that is a story for another day.
Q: How did the DEI Intimidator Camaro's end up with 381hp & the other GMMG cars were 380hp?
A: Some suggested Dale Sr. wanted 1 more hp than the other cars. How about this? .......... Dale was car #3, Dale Jr. was car #8 & Steve Park (teammate) was car #1.......... that's '381'.

Q: How did the Bobby Labonte Blackbird get number #38
A: Same deal......... Bobby's # was 18 & teammate Tony Stewart (Home Depot) was #20 ............. that's #38. It's also white & Interstate Green (Bobby's colors).

Only a great mind like Matt's could come up with something like this.

For anyone that doesn't know GMMG built very small numbers of special edition 2000-2002 Camaro's & Trans Am's. Other companies built special cars BUT in much larger numbers....SLP Firehawk's/Camaro's, Shelby Mustang's & others.
I'm putting my money on GMMG cars as a far better investment because of the smaller numbers. Why not purchase a GMMG rather than anything else with larger build numbers?
HRE #1975 & CETA Blackbird #4 are for sale.....

ok so.. if they are bankrupt and "out of business"... why is the website still up, and accepting paypal orders for exhausts? i didnt order it through them, but i took the link as far as it would go to see if it works and it does. Kind of seems odd that if they dont make them anymore, why not disable this function on the website.

So whats the verdict? I have read several threads of rumors? Did gmmg close its doors? Does someone have pics of the building closed? Anyone talk to Matt? Hows his health? Whats the deal? I hope deep down its not true but i dont know.

Went past the old GMMG shop in Marietta today just to see what had become of it. Its now an ambulance garage. Went inside and spoke with the managing dispatcher who said up until late 2012 they would receive multiple phone calls and mail for Matt Murphy. The back lot has been all cleaned up and the lifts and storage containers out back except for one are gone. I wonder what happened to all the cars that were in the back lot? The last time I was there I was looking at a prototype Dick Harrell wide body convertible ZL1. Matt said GMMG at the time was going to start doing modified Corvettes and then later the new Camaro which at the time wasn't out yet. It was sad to see the shop today. The many tire marks that striped the road in front of the shop have begun to fade.

I got mine in 2016 from Hawks...same price and appearance as original, but I don't know if they are "original"?
I do know that my car is a "no start" before 8:30 AM for the benefit of the neighbors! LOL!!
Can't tell you how many guys (and a couple of girls) have approached me and said...
"Now that's how a car is supposed to sound!"
Love mine...
