Default my new 1997 TA WS6

well didn't get the SS lady sold it before I had money so heres my new car. It's a 97 m6 ws6 stock minus gutted cats and Borla catback. Came with hooded ceramic coated long tube headers not installed. Has new spec clutch and drilled and slotted rotors newish tires. Payed 4700 for it has 115k miles and the interior is in far better shape.

Those are the ws6 5 spoke, but they aren't the chrome ones. I think they are more rare than most.

Nice looking ride for the money, much better than the SS you were looking at.

All WS6s up thru '99 came w/ only the 17" RPO N66 wheels (except the '97 'verts which got 16" chrome P05 wheels, and the 30ths which got the blue QA9 wheels). Did the N66 wheels change from painted to polished between '97 and '98? Or did Pontiac offer both painted and polished wheels w/ the same RPO in '97 (was '97 a transition year where both were installed)?

I'm just thinking his wheels are really dull and need a good detail. But if you know something I don't, I'm all ears.

The wheels I think are just bare or machined aluminum with a polished lip ?

forgot to say, with that cat-back and hooker headers that thing will sound awesome, since it's a LT1 they have a better sound to them then a LS1...i have both and with same exhaust the LT1 just sounds better, maybe it's because of a different firing order...

no actually i don't have one and wouldn't know how to post it if i did...just talking about my own cars...never heard a LS1 with same exhaust on it as a LT1 sound better....i love the sound of my LT1...my boss has a shelby gt500 and told me that my car was one of the best sounding f-bodies he ever heard...never bragging here, just like the sound of LT1's is all...it's not quicker then my LS1, just sounds better....and after you get some time back home try ZYMOL CARBON wax on that black paint...

that is all i have ever used on my black cars.

96 was the only year that the wheels came painted with a polished lip.

The OP's car looks like it has 96 wheels.

Good save, my 97 was in similar shape when I picked it up. Some paint work went a long way. I found a set of 94 hawk wheels for it and pulled the factory 16's:

Yes-I think there were 42 formula vert WS6's made. This one is in pretty good shape- needed lots of cosmetic work.

How is the interior in yours?

I'll be holding in to this one- I really like the rare ones.

Nice that your interior is in good shape. Mine was the same way. Makes the restoration much easier
