Another Corvette Indy Pace Car...again?? I am a big fan of Indy 500 pace cars. Before I was born, my dad had a 1980 Turbo Trans Am pace car. I have never owned a pace car, but you could call me an enthusiast. Every year I look forward to finding out which car was selected to pace the "world's greatest race". To my disappointment, I found out it was another 'vette. Granted, it's a ZR1, but still. How about a little variety people?
Below is a quick list just to show you how many times the vette has paced the Indy 500 since '78:

TWO Fords. LOL.
I wouldn't mind seeing a SRT8 Challenger, but no 'vert is made for parade cars.
At least this gives Chevy the opportunity to showcase their most powerful car (for the first time) as well as their new 427 'Verts as parade cars.
I loved Oldsmobiles too, but I felt about the same in the late 60s and 70s when a Cutlass or some variant was pacing the 500 every other year. Obviously, Indy has their manufacturing allegance stright.
