The search continues. 01 Firehawk. So, the Fbody bug has bitten me again. I have been fbodless for almost a year. Looking for one to finally keep. Had a line on a 96 Formula WS6 and the guy flaked out, His WIFE wanted more money when I arrived to pick it up. I was going to settle for a 94Z28 w 56K miles. 1 Owner, very nice car. Also in the running is a 96/97 Camaro SS. Then there is this...
2001 Firehawk. 109K miles ( roughly 5500 miles per year) Full documentation, M6 in decent condition. I have reached an agreement with the guy on the Firehawk. But logistics will be a challenge. going to cost close to $1K to get it here.... What is the consensus here? What would you guys pay for this car? Joined this site in 01... I think an 01 Firehawk would be fitting.

There aren't as many formula firehawks as ta firehawks so it is a little more rare. If it is going to be a grand to ship it you probably aren't going to inspect it in person before buying it, are you?
Great advice friends and greatly appreciated. That graph is awesome!! Even with shipping I am getting a great deal!! This car is ALIVE in the Firehawk SLP registry and exactly as described. The current owner still has the Firehawk floor mats, t top shades, Firehawk car cover, (sealed in boxes)I have spoken with the guy at length. in his late 40's owns a 72 Trans Am (455), Currently doing a rotisserie on a C1 Corvette, Gorgeous home, Huge garage, he also sent vids, very transparent.
I get the whole sight unseen... I have been fortunate in the past. I purchased my bone stock 08 Z06 (22K) from a guy in upstate NY.. Car arrived exactly as described ( he upgraded to C7Z) To date I have changed the car up a bit and it is not stock anymore. I am going to roll the dice with this Hawk... Carfax matches records, documented maint, I have searched all over the country for a nice Firehawk and the fact that this one ( as mentioned) is a Formula makes it all the more rare. Have you been to the Firehawk Rally? My wife is actually from Ohio... ( I know you gotta be from somewhere).. I'd bet shed be all over that too!!

For continuity purposes, if you don't mind sharing (i.e. please don't if you don't feel comfortable) what the final purchase price was. I think for a "rarer" car like this every price point offers a valid comparison. I follow the Fbody market fairly regularly and it is always nice knowing final sale prices.
...nearly every V8 4th gen falls under that price. you could really roll the dice and not give us a $6k over/under. nice pick up though. anything documented as thoroughly was probably well maintained. congrats
Actually sold that Firehawk to a friend here local in Dallas... He also purchased one of my 97 WS6 Trans am's…. I have since picked up this 1 owner 28k mile 96 Z28 1LE...
