SOM Blackbird Gone 
I was searching around for a SOM WS.6 and I came acrost a BlackBird SOM WS.6
So i called the dealership in Tampa, Fl and got denied it just sold the day before!! 
So one Lucky guy from Virginia had a nice flight to Florida to pick up his baby SOM WS.6 BlackBird

Personally I think SOM is the NASTIEST color for any car. I can think of few worse aside from hot pink and fecies brown.

My car is red actually. Not Black.
I was also posting about how it's a color that people either love or they hate. There doesn't seem to be any inbetween about it.
No need to have a pissing contest about car colors.

Well as I said, you either love it or you hate it. There doesn't seem to be anyone that just says, "That color is ok." It's always "That's the best color ever," or, "That's freaking nasty. You couldn't give me a car with that for a paintjob."
That's all I was trying to state. I didn't mean to come off the way I probably did. It's just not my taste in colors.

In response to Firehawk's comment "NASTIEST color for any car" --yes you are entitled to your own opinion, but let me point out a couple of things.
1. GM is now using the color on Corvettes & several other car maker are using very similar versions of SOM --- so obviously the general public does like SOM. In fact I have had tons of people comment on how beautiful the SOM is on my car never had any negative comments about the color
2. Look at some of the colors Mopar used on 70s Cudas & Challengers- curious yellow, sassy grass green, plum purple & of course Panther Pink (hot pink) --- those are the cars that bring BIG $ over the regular colors ---why because there rare colors & I would be willing to bet that some people back in those days had the same option about those colors that you now have about SOM.
3. What was the reason for your original post about the color anyway? Just to get a rise out of SOM owners?

No, not really. I was just commenting on the fact that I don't understand the facination for that color. SOM isn't the only color I don't understand though. But I was just making a comment. Although I could have put it more delicatley than I did.
I'm sorry for the way I put that. I still don't like the color. I saw this puke green Mustang. It's the original paint color. I don't understand how any one could call it a good color. To each their own. I'd never buy anything that color. The same with Feces brown Firebirds from the 80's.
I was just expressing my opinion, that's all. Oddly enough I almost bought a SOM Firehawk. However I couldn't stand the color, and I passed on the deal. I eventually found a red one and I bought it. It cost me a couple grand more, but was well worth it to me.
