Default Production # breakdowns by options '02 SS

Where can I get production numbers breakdowns by options for '02 SS Camaro? For example: How many cars had 345 HP option, how many were m6, how many autos, etc., etc. Are these #'s even available ? I had complete breakdowns for my '99 SS, but haven't had luck on my '02 number breakdowns. Anyone? Thanks. WJ

I can't help you with your question, but maybe you can help me. I sent you a pm already but can you hook me up with the rest of the breakdown on the 99 SS? Also, please tell me where you found this info.

Thanks!

https://ls1tech.com/forums/chevrolet-camaro-1967-2002/196051-how-many-2002-1les.html should have what you're looking for... if not, try to get ahold of the printout mentioned there (and if you do, post it here ).

Thanks again, ACW. What I'm primarily looking for is the number of '02 SS cars that were equipped w/the 345 HP airbox and performance exhaust option, the color breakdown of the 345 hp units, and the body style breakdown of these 345's. Also how many had the Dual-Dual exhaust and how many had the Centermount exhaust? I'll give SLP a call tomorrow.....Anyone have the correct phone number to reach SLP for production info? Thanks. WJ, '02 SS #7234

ACW: Terry Black now works in "shipping" for SLP. Some guy named "Art" said he didn't have any SLP installed options info for the '02 SS cars. He didn't really seem to care about my request, either. Said," Check on one of the F body websites." I asked him if SLP had the info I needed, and he said,"I don't know." Big help he was... Anyone else know how to access this info? WJ

Well, that sucks. Guess he got demoted or something. I haven't managed to come across any other info on contacts at SLP yet... You might try asking around at http://phpbb.firehawk.org ; it looks like several of the people there have communication with SLP.

Thanks ACW. Can anyone else add anything constructive to this thread? Has SLP turned into a bunch of Ford lovers now, or what? WJ

I spoke with a man that bareley spoke english at SLP... I gave him a few vin#'s I found on eBay to find out options on some SOM cars I was documenting. He faxed me over the build sheets for EVERY VIN I gave him. He was a huge help. I found a website a while back that had all the break downs for WS6 cars by options and colors, but nothing on the SS cars... I too am very inerested in this information. Sometimes you can get some good info on the SSOA message board if the right people are listening.

By the way WJ... I have a 335HP car with CME, ZR-1, SS Grille, Portfolio, Key Fobs, Car Cover, Floor Mats and Trophy Mat. Sold private order to a dealer in MI, wasn't titled until the car had almost 10K on it, then I bought it from a dealer of just SS and WS6 cars in Cleveland, OH??? WTF!

I have only documented 3 or 4 SOM cars of the 50 or so regisered on my site that had 345HP.

Thanks #686. I have a feeling that there are not that many 345 HP SOM A4 coupe cars. Hoping to find out exactly how many.... WJ

WJ SOM SS the best thing in the world for you to get will be the "Camaro White Book" it has build numbers on any camaro ever made. From ZL1s and SSs to Bergers and B4Cs. It has them all, I bought one myself, very handy. It will cost about $16- $18. Just find you an search engine and search for camaro white book and order from the web or here is the address just send a money order for $15.95 plus $3 for s/h to:

I have the book! It is a great book, but doesn't break it down further than color/trans. It does break down GM options I think, but not with colors... Still a great piece of information. I have the SOM numbers according to the book on my site.

Glad you told me. I have all the GM-Chevrolet option info. It's THE SLP OPTIONS details that I'm looking for.... Anyone got this stuff for '01 and/or '02 SS cars? Thanks. WJ

I don’t think SLP ever compiled and released those breakdowns, I remember seeing a big stink about it over on SSOA. Basically when they stopped making the SS and closed the shop in Michigan, they just moved on to bigger and better things. I remember them catching allot of flack about it but they said they were never under contract to provide those numbers but did just as a courtesy.

Boy, that's crap. There's got to be a way to get the SLP options info...Anyone contact Scott S. from Chevrolet regarding this? If anyone could find out where to get the SLP options breakdowns, it would be him. Comments? Thanks. WJ. '02 SS build # 7234
