I finally got my covers painted and the roll bar installed. The rool bar main hoop is from wolfe craft and the other points are one that i made. It is all welded in and stiffen the chassis greatly.This is not track legal, but I dont go to the track anyways.

 

My friend from HS had one for a few years. He sold it last summer for 15k I believe 98 Formula WS6. The color looked alright.... I thought it was kind of girly..... same color as my mom's grand prix. There was a reason that they didn't make many of them, it wasn't like it was a factory limited color it was a buyer limited color not many people liked that color so they didn't order it. IMO it's kind of stupid how the less desirable when new combo's become more desireable in the future.... Zips flame suit up.

 

desirable ..yes..limited yes..girly...not...unless the 98 indy convertible vette is girly and the first 25 ssr in production is girly. infact anytime gm wants to do something special they will use purple.I have never had someone say that my car ir girly in anyways...no they did put that color.dark metallic purple on trans am, which i also own as well as cavilers,sunfiresgrand prix and vettes. Then you could say the the color is less desirable and in which case you may have a point. But on a f body or y body the color is just very clean. simply put. Very refined and not overly flashy in any way. but yet still has the muscle car to it.Please dont think i am trying to start anything and i do respect your opinion. But the color is as beautiful color just about on anything

 

I didn't mean to offend you in any way. I like the color it looks good on my mom's grand prix. I guess I just wouldn't like to have a car the same color as my mom's. I think your car looks very nice btw.

All of the Blackbirds were factory WS6 cars. Here's the pics I just found of the car after searching for it.

 

That's a pretty car, for sure. I had always heard you couldn't get the WS6 in BGC, and that's the first one I've ever seen... Vury niiice...

 

Prolly a repaint to that color.

Here in Chicago, we have some rare birds.

A guy has a 98 WS6, M6, purple, has low miles on it. A friend has a 98 TA, vert, m6, gold.

Rarest 4th gens to me are:
purple 98 ws6
gold 98 ws6 (have seen 2 over six years)
LPE ws6 (never seen one)
10th anniv hawk (have seen one in Lamont, he used to be in MFBA)
gold 98 ss (have seen 1 t-top, and 2 verts)
BBM cars from 99

theres a TA down at a local dealer with a chameleon paint job. i thought it was aftermarket...whats the paint code and ill go check it out...

ive seen a 10th anniv hawk here, and i saw a SGM TA not but 2 days ago.

 

Chameleon TA could be stock...just probably not a stock chameleon WS6 TA.

 

79 (79U/79L) is the code for Blue-Green Chameleon aka Mystic Teal

it was a v-6 i had all trans am stuff on it appearance wise minus the spoiler.

 

Not true You could get a blackbird in any factory color, but ASC only did a certain paint range of WS6s due to cost as based on GM sales and suspected demand (same Holds true for SSs and Hawks that SLP did). If the color wasnt availble as a WS6 then GMMG would add the hood and have it painted.

 

I forget the RPO code off the top of my head. But my blue T/A is somewhat of a chamelion. Has definate hints of purple...and depending on the light, looks black.

Ok now I'm jealous!!! And my friends don't understand why I drive one. Whats better than one purple trans am 2!! And a WS6 at that. Very nice cars.

 

Every time I see one of those Sport Gold Metallic cars, I immediatly think of Goldmember from Austin Powers. The gold WS6 would definetly be his type of ride.
