Not sure on SS leather options, but the only Firehawks with out leather is the Formula Hawks that were not orderd with it ....all Trans Am's after 97 come with leather as a standard option

I would imagine the ss's have standard leather. I haven't seen one without leather yet...so...who knows?

Can't believe they couldn't even pop for the Firehawk nose badge! I'd also see if it hasn't been submerged in one of those Texas floods or something, too.

I'm not even in the market for a car (just made myself the proud new owner of a 2002 ss), but I called them anyways to let them know how bad all of their very rare gems they call firehawks and ss's are thrown together. Ive seen other posts about them ripping people off.

By the way, I asked about the heat extractors and he said "well, the hood has been replaced, along with the wheels" . Eventually, he said that it is just my opinion and hung up on me! Sounds shady if you ask me.

Glad you called. I tried last week as soon as I saw the ad. I got a machine and after cooling off I decided they weren't worth my time and most likely won't change their ways anyhow. I wish I could find some scary govenment looking letters and mail them to give 'em a scare, but.... oh well.

Case in point right here.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...556897342&rd=1

Listed as "1999 PONTIAC TRANS AM WS-6 RAM AIR PKG "

but WS-6's weren't even made in this color. Wrong wheels, etc. Definitely not a WS-6, but it's listed as one. That HAS to be false advertising. Somebody with an e-bay account should notify ebay.

Then they go on to say this in their auction. They try to hide it within the details.

"We here at Texastoys have done the Ram Air conversion with Chrome wheels, emblems, and better than factory real functinal Ram air cold induction, 20-25Hp over factory installed ram air."

I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as a WS6 conversion. It's not physically possible. It doesn't matter what they put on the car it still won't be a WS6 and shouldn't be listed as one. How is it that this place has such good feedback?? That's ridiculous.

From the Fort Smith area. I havent seen an ss with cloth seats either. I thought all of them were leather with power drivers seat and mirror. Didn't know they came any other way, but Ive been known to be wrong a time or two (or eight).

I have seen a-lot of t-top/hard top SS's with cloth. All T/A's have leather, but you can order leather for the formula's. Not all SS's are leather. Just like anything else it is an option. Texas toys sucks ***.

Just an FYI off the FAOA boards:

Try this on for size......
Just verified the vin with SLP and the vin shown with the auction does show to be 2002 Formula Firehawk w/t-tops #290. Now just waiting on more info from the seller. I'll let you all know what I find out. Sound to good to be true thats for sure. I especially like the ultra rare option. Cassette player, I see this alot.
Buyer BEWARE-BEWARE-BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the only Firehawk that I ever seen lose mileage
check out the repair date and mileage when repair on 09-13-2004
there were 13,170 miles then. Now 6-17-05 it only has 11,500 miles
I would stay away from this one. I wish my two Hawks had reverse mileage option.

Even though some of these may be TRUE Firehawks, you can tell that they have either been modded or rebuilt!
