I have a breakdown of 2002 Pewter Hawks: (going off memory)

117 Pewter Firehawks
42 were T/A Coupes M6's, w/balance Formulas or Verts

Again, breaking down into SLP options would further reduce the number, but there are single digit Firehawks produced w/specific OEM color codes. It all depends on what you consider rare.

Personally speaking, less than 5,000 Firehawks produced over an 11 year period, I would consider rare. Heck, I seen SS Camaro's w/production numbers in the thousands and that was for just one year. Again, all how you look at it guys.

If I drove past you driving a Firehawk covered in dirt through winter salted roads I'd be more pissed than impressed.
Why preserve your car for the guy who is going to own it after you die?

I can see your logic if you get enjoyment from having a garage queen... but I would much rather drive a car than garage it.

I would be much more impressed with a McLaren F1 if it had rock chips on the nose, than one that didn't, that tells me the owner uses the car for what it's meant to be used for, to be driven!

Not a shot at you or your car, we just have varying ideas of how these cars should be enjoyed.

On another note.... I think you can't go wrong with either a HOSS or a Hawk, but I would lean towards the hawk.

Why preserve it for the guy who owns it after I die? Becasue the person who will own it after me will be my son. That's why. I do drive my car. about 3-4k miles per year. I just heappen to think it should be enjoyed on nice days instead of guzzled like cheap beer and run through the wringer on crappy days. That's all. If you want to modify it tastefully, great, I just don' t like people running stuff down, even if it's just a rare F-body, not just exotics.

listen, you can choose either one, all depends what you want to do with it,do u want to drive it daily or weekends only. ask ur self which car was least produced? thats a start. what body style do u like? difference is 100 lbs. .100 faster for SS. either one is great machine, all depends which one "U" like. only difference is all cosmetics.
take ur choice and dont look back, cause either choice will be right 1.

I'll preserve my WS6 for whoever is going to own it after I die... simply because I want there to still be one of these cars in original, stock trim when that day comes. The more other people modify theirs, the more valuable it will make mine. I feel like it would be sacrilege to start modding such a rare car.

Both my cars are garage queens, but that doesn't really mean a lot.... My Formula only sees about 2000 miles a year, but most of those are put on it a 1/4 mile at a time, once a week at the drag strip all summer long.

Just because a car is a garage queen doesn't mean it isn't driven for what purppse it was built. It just means that it doesn't go out in the rain.

I just went on a North Georgia mountain cruise with a guy who owns both a 2000 Firehawk AND a '99 Hugger Orange SS. Both are around 25k miles.

If you had a '99 Hugger Orange SS 1LE with an A4, then you would have the rare one... they only made 1.

A black loaded Firehawk is probaly one of the more common firehawks.
How about some rare colored firehawks.
How many SOM firehawks were made? I bet those are rare. What about SOM firehawk convertible? Or that maple colored firehawk?

My friend here in Ontario, Canada custum ordered his HOSS with the 1LE, auburn, castrol package.
Its a white leather, hardtop M6.
He told me how rare (in breakdown) his is and being a canadian car is rarer I think, PLUS, he had to ship it back to SLP (drove it, lives 3hrs away from conversion plant in Quebec) to add the auburn and dual/dual exhaust that got "forgot" at the factory, he said she now has two buildsheets and all paperwork has been retained.
I have pics of it and my 10th together finally. I'll post them as soon as I upload them.
Also took a pic of the door option tag and VIN so you can verify it.

I have yet to figure out why people buy things and then hide them from the view of the public. It makes me sad.

Only vert made in 2002 was a silver one. No idea who owns it but its popped up on a few of the other sites in days past. I have yet to see it in MRM.
