Took the Firehawk to the detailer, he works on everything from classics to brand new cars from the Mercedes dealership. Did a fantastic job, car looks better than the day I bought it 20 years ago. Really, really pleased.

It’s so great. The red is actually a little brighter than the picture show.
Thank you! It’s mostly an investment. If the car had more miles on it, I’d drive it more. It’s a low mile, all original car and I want to keep it that way. I take it out a couple times a month for short drives, but the mileage doesn’t add up to much. Thankfully, I have quite a few other 4th gens to drive and enjoy.
In the end, even if it doesn’t go up in value, I just really enjoy owning one of my all time favorite F-bodies!

Sweet color combo, I love black cars w/ red guts. However, while you are correct that '95 was the only year you could get red leather in a Hawk, it was also available in '96 on other Firebirds. There were also 2 T/As built in '97 w/ red leather, these were likely very early build cars using up left-over '96 seats.

Would he be interested in selling? I've been trying to locate the other ones outside of Mac's owner registry. There was/is a twin to my car (hardtop/M6) that was in the Indiana/Chicago area many years ago. If I recall, it was modified (H/C?). #46 (I think) was in in Florida about 10 years ago but it wasn't in great condition.
That's absolutely accurate. Red leather (RPO 702), albeit rare, was available on 95 and 96 Firebirds (all trim levels) and the two 97 TA's you mentioned. One year (1995) only on the Firehawk.

That’s crazy. That’s my buddies car, #046.
You should see it now. He picked it up in Daytona Beach as few years ago. He said he would post up some pictures here in a little bit.

This is 1995 #046. It was indeed in poor shape when I bought it in 2013. Since I have had it, I have replaced most all of the interior ie; carpet headliner, sunvisors, upper dash and lower dash, console and shift boot, seat upholstery and most all interior switches. Also bought a NOS set of Firehawk floor mats for it. I painted the hood, replaced both headlight doors with NOS ones and painted those . Also found an SLP IROC spoiler, painted and installed that as well.
I found a proper set of wheels for it as it had 01-02 WS6 wheels on it when I bought it. I replaced the taillights with a mint set I found and all turn signal andvside marker lense I replaced with NOS pieces. I repaired several faulty wiring issues including installing a LS style rear taillight harness. I also found a proper airbox for it. Last year the rear end went out so I replaced it with a Strange 12 bolt with 3 channel reluctor as the original 10 bolt had. While doing that I also upgraded the pan hard bar and RCAs with Founder's on car adjustable pieces and the torque arm with adjustable chrome moly unit with relocation trans cross member from UMI. The rear brakes are stock, but I replaced the front ones with C5 calipers and 12.8" rotors utilizing period correct Bob Bishop's Track Brackets. It had a SLP lm1 on it when I bought it, but it was too raspy for my taste, so I found a complete SLP Dual/Dual from a LS Hawk and installed it with an electric cut out that I fabricated my own Y for at the back end of the I pipe so when open it dumps right at the rear axle. I also found a set of original SLP "bugle tips" that SLP used on the Hawks that didnt have the TOTL and modified them to fit the 2 - 1/2" tail pipes of the Dual/Dual. I just had Tick do a Level 2 + rebuild on the t56 this past summer and am currently working on freshening up the engine and replacing seals. I'm sure I'm probably forgetting somethings ...I've strived to keep it's original appearance and SLP special parts that makes it a Firehawk while upgrading the mechanical and other things that aren't seen......Anyway...it's not for sale...lol.....no one would ever want to pay for all that I have done to it and I'm still not finished with it yet.
