Default 96 Ws6?

I'm looking at buying a 96 WS6 T/A t-top M6 it's silver with 156,000 miles it appears to be in good shape, tires don't have much left. no major defects in the body or paint. leather interior no rips. silver coated rims they want 7,900 for it I don't feel it's worth that much. And I want to be sure it's a real WS6. it has the rims and hood. is there anything else that came with the WS6 package in 96. Also the badge is on the back drivers side. I thought(on LS1's at least) that it was on the passenger side.

Also I have a 97 t-top M6 formula with 90,000 miles. the motor has a comp cam(227,233), comp R lifters, hardened pushrods,1.6RR, ported TB, long tubes, 3in full exhaust, LT4 press plate and disk, new synchros, new entire ignition system(ICM, coil, opti, wires, plugs) tuned pcm, 255LPH fuel pump, car drives like stock(until you put your foot into it). AC works great, has all power options, the cd 10 speaker(monsoon) audio system, hurst shifter, new pw window motors(doesn't take all day to roll up a window) Z-rated tires with 80-90% tread left. no dents or scrathes, except for the normal spider cracks in nosecone
I'm going to sell this car and thought about trading it for the WS6 car. the dealership that has it is a used car dealership that only has sports cars and 1 or 2 4wd trucks(lifted big tires etc..) So I think they might give my car a just value for it performance parts. do you think mine would be worth more than there WS6 car should I shoot for a even trade or expect to have to put money and car to get the WS6 car.
the reason I want this car so much is it is juct like the(exactly) 97 WS6 silver t-top M6 I sold this summer, that I wish I would have kept. I can't get it back and I enjoy building these cars and would like to build another one a little different
sorry for the long post, thanks

Yes, the WS6 emblem should be on the passenger side. Do a search, I know I saw someone posted how you can tell a real WS6 from the VIN. It sounds like your Formula is better than that WS6 anyway. If you want the WS6 look you could always buy the hood, rear bumper and sideskirts and put a WS7 badge on it.

Look under the hood for all the ram air induction stuff. That factory mess is expensive and unlikly to be duplicated.

My FAVORITE f-body is the '96 -'97 WS6.

I plan to get one someday and swap in an LS6.

Yah I miss my silver 97 WS6 it was a awesome car. my formula is white and I don't really like white. i like the silver more than the trans am body and I don't want to go through the trouble of painting all the door jambs trunk and t-top etc.. to make it look right if I changed the color.

The code WS6 should be on the driver's side door when you open it on the list of options.

I have a 96 Formula WS6 and I love it.

Check the RPO codes on the door. If it has WS6, then its a real one.

Also, if the badge is on the driver side rear it's a fake or it has been repainted and the guy that put the badge back on is a moron
