I wish I could buy it. Bad timing. Oh well, I guess someday I'll just get one of the 29 Firehawks with the LT4.

those cars would have been much more valuable had the LS1 engine not come out the following year. They went from being the quickest 4th gens produced, to 'average' performance at the introduction of the LS1. Sure, they will be worth more than an LT1 SS, but their potential collectibility value was hurt by the LS1 engine.

sorry nine ball, but i have to argue this point. i dont think it was hurt because its still so rare (especially being on an anniversery edition car) that the collectibility wasnt hurt. the myths that grow around it might be, but i dont think its collectibility was. anyone who knows cars will still know that its extremely rare and worth a pretty penny and pretty zippy. what did one of these things run a 1/4 in? anyway...thats just my two cents.

I'd have to agree with Swang. The fact that they were produced for such a short period of time and in such limited #s will make this car very valuable one day. Yeah, the next engine was better, but isnt it always? This was the meanest of Camaros when it was produced, albeit a very short time. And personally, I think the thing is totally sick.

The car is very sick, very clean, and it looks like its brining in some change, but i do agree w/nineball, the price would be so much higher if the ls1 fbody was never introduced, it was one of the fasted camaros of its time, but it'd be a drivers race w/a base model 98 z, it cannot, not be hurt by the ls1's, but still an amazing car, also the 1/4 he said on the page is 13.2 w/a 4.9 0-60mph

They ran identical times to base model LS1 Z28s. Mid/low 13s stock. That was blazing fast for a stock 4th gen f-body back when LT1s were new. The LS1 made those times look average. I didn't say the car wasn't a collectible, I said the collectible value potential was hurt by the LS1. It won't be worth as much as it could have been, had the LS1 not came out.

I think its a pretty cool car an all... but I think the paint scheme/interior are just horrible... I can appreciate the car for what it is, but I can't stand the look of LT1 f-bodies... and this just seems kinda ugly to me...
