Cant find RPO Code for SS.

Is it engraved or will it be a silver tag? And does being an SLP SS compared to Chevy SS make a difference at all?

I believe the RPO code for the SS is WU8, i think. All SS's were converted my SLP, Chevy sent Z28's to SLP to make them SS's.

What percent are done by SLP and what percent done by chevy?

I thought they all went to SLP. I know for a fact that all of the 35th Aniversary SS's were done by SLP, so I would imagine that SLP did them all.

Its an 00. Another question, what did slp do? I thought the only differnce from z28 and SS is the ram air and options.

The code is WU8. I also believe SLP did all SSs but also added the SLP option to some. 345hp package.

WU8 is the RPO code. I do not think all SS's were done by SLP. Only ones with SLP options on them. 96/97 were done at SLP. 96 was the first year and was a Z28/SS.

All SS's were converted by SLP. Some just didn't get the additional SLP options. SLP installed the hood, wheels, spoiler, exhaust, etc...the standard SS package. They left GM as Z28s, but with a WU8 code.

By that only SS's that go to SLP have the SLP stickers on the inside of the door w/ SLp options. At some point, IIRC 2000, they started doing the main stuff, i.e. hood and spoiler inhouse, then everything else was done at SLP
